Friendly and efficient service. Well portioned meals that are home made and very tasty. Did not have a salad but saw some large salads in eatible bowls go to others--my hamburger was great but next time I would try a salad.

Our hotel did not include breakfast, so before heading for home on a Saturday morning, we stopped in for breakfast based on reviews. This place was just hopping! There was an auction going on, so I think it may have been a bit busier due to that event, but I got the impression that it is always pretty steady business. What struck us at first was how friendly the other patrons were...who were obviously locals. We actually started chatting with a family, and found out the wife was from our city. Small world for sure!!Our food was delicious. It was a little slow coming out, but we were in no hurry so that was just fine. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon instead of sausage, and hubby had the Western Omelet. Both breakfasts were fabulous. We would stop at this friendly diner again if we were in the Verona area!!

Stopped at the New Maple Leaf Market in Sherrill expecting MUCH better things. We were looking for a quick pick up breakfast sandwich and when entering there was only one sandwich in the rack, cashier advised more were coming right out. Looked around a bit and when returning to cashier more sandwiches were in heater box. I grabbed an egg and cheese on a muffin and hubby grabbed bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel. Opened both sandwiches down the road and found the egg and cheese muffin to have a RAW muffin, runny egg and cold cheese. Bagel sandwich had a rubbery bagel, runny/raw eggs and undercooked bacon. For a new place I expected a little more attention to detail. Needless to say, would go in the opposite direction to hit up McDonalds or Dunkin for the price it was.....................

Knotty Pine has been around for decades and seems to have gotten the formula down for long-term success. I've only eaten there for breakfast but it's been good every time. Lots of locals really enjoy this place and it's clear the staff know many people who come through the front door. Good food, good prices, very quick kitchen service, and friendly staff all add up to make a good experience. Knotty Pine is a solid option for your next meal.

OK- The ambience is totally "diner", but the food is really good, and the service is fast and friendly. They serve a great breakfast, and my favorite lunch item is the BLT, served with chips. Lots of bacon, and fresh, red, squishey tomatoes! The burgers are also good, and they have turkey specials and mac 'n cheese. But....they close at 1:00p.m., so get there fast!
