Top 7 Day Trips from in Northern Norway, Northern Norway

January 5, 2022 Stefan Strunk

Home to both the midnight sun (with constant daylight from April to July) and the northern lights, North Norway is a rugged land of steep mountains, deep fjords and scenic coastline, making it a great place for outdoor adventures like dog sledding, snowmobiling and wildlife safaris. It's also the ancient home of the Sami people, 3,000 of whom live (along with 100,000 reindeer) at Kautokeino, Norway's largest municipality at over 3,700 square miles.

Thomas and Keneth made a great effort to take us for Northern Lights observation spots. We stopped at several places. The tour provided us with photos and videos. I found them pretty professional and friendly, something you need in Arctic Circle. We managed to see Northern Lights, I took plenty of photos. Recommended.

7. Day trip to Nordkapp from Rovaniemi

Record Travel

Far in the north there is a real place of power. The place where the cold waters of the Atlantic and Arctic oceans meet. This is Cape Nordkapp, located in the west of Finnmark, in Northern Norway. When you stand on a cape, only the ocean and the Svalbard archipelago (Svalbard) separate you from the North Pole. In summer, the sun does not set below the horizon for two and a half months - from mid-May to the end of July. Contemplation of the midnight sun or sunset from the North Cape Plateau is an impression that remains in our memory for a long time.
