We’ve put together a suggested plan to make the most of your time in the Land of Smiles, but if you want to adjust the route just let your host know. Why not discover a local market which has a train running through it? Want to know how it came to be? Hear the story from your friendly local as to why a market and train line were placed so close together. Want to discover Bangkok’s famous floating market? Your local host will take you there! Take in the colors and stalls filled with fresh fruits and vegetables at this cool spot. Then with historic temples where monks still live today and traditional Thai houses just waiting to be discovered, let your local host know where you would like to go on this fully customizable day trip.

May, our local guide is fantastic. She was very kind to pick us up at our hotel. We quickly hit it off and chatted about Bangkok during our tour. May took us to places that are off the beaten path to see the real Bangkok. We had a marvelous local Thai lunch by the river. May wanted to show us food that her grandma made for her. Totally authentic Thai food. Besides the Thai puppet show, she took us to see a 200 years old temple that is being restored. No tourists, just two of us. We felt very privileged to see her hometown. May took great care of us and even dropped us off at the next meeting point for our second tour. We appreciate her thoughtfulness and friendliness. Amazing recommended places from her. We felt her genuine friendship. Gave us a really warm feeling. Thanks so much, May. Sincerely appreciated.

The dinner cruise was simply amazing. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. It was one of those nights when I felt so grateful for being in Bangkok. We had two excellent crew members Khun First and Khun View who took care of us, including taking amazing pictures. Highly recommend!

Ayutthaya is an island at the confluence of three rivers: the Chao Phraya River, the Lopburi River and the Pa Sak River. As the train station is at the east side off the island, most visitors will need to cross the river by ferry boat. Navigating your way around the island is not particularly hard: U Thong Rd is a ring road that circumscribes the island completely. Most temple ruins can be found at the northwest of the island, while accommodation and night life is clustered around the northeast. As non-Siamese peoples were not allowed to live inside the city walls, things foreign are found off the island.
