Kumma junk bar & lounge is a bubbling puzzle of Berlin, Budapest, Prague and Tallin in the hearth of Tampere. Besides your taste buds it also tickles your imagination. With Kumma you dont´t ever get to be bored.
This place is exactly what Tampere has been missing. A place to drink well, eat well and enjoy life. The athmosphere is cozy - a little of everything mixed together with a great conclusion.I'd say that the prizes are very reasonable; even below the average in Finland overall.Sizes of the portions are just right - in my opinion small portion means more portions and that's more flavours.I recommend you to try the seitankebab, it's super goooood :p

We went here for the dinner at Saturday evening, two people. Location is quite far from center, but worth to go. Fairly small place, but nice. I had scrimps as a starter, very nice and spicy. For the main I had Cajun Blackened beef and my wife had beef in a pot with pepper sauce. Both were excellent, really good taste and output. Also the vegies were greatly made. Good wine and some choklad cake as an dessert and dinner was one of the best ever had. Go and check this place, really.

A lovely little bistro, right near the main street of Tampere and the central train station.
we came here for brunch on a Sunday. The offering of salty food was very limited, and it truly looked as a collection of leftovers (cold chicken, cold potatoes etc), all decorated as it sprinkled parsil and pepper would give it a new life. Also the visual presentation was very sad: it looked like nobody had rearranged the dishes for hours. The sweet side was croissants and various kinds of bread.Nothing exciting there, either. The cook prepared for us some very anonymous scrambled eggs. I really cannot relate my experience to the positive reviews I read from other customers. Our comment upon leaving was "luckily we did not come here with guests"

The idea of an organic restaurant is excellent. This is an elegant little place in Tampere Market Hall. The walls were painted black and were hung with art. There are four to five lunch options, all made with organic ingredients. I had the Thai food. It was good. A portion was small, though. Coffee was not included for lunch, which was a shame.

Restaurant Henriks is beautifully located in one of the oldest buildings in Tampere in Finland. The youthful kitchen staff mixes traditional french cooking techniques with the best Scandinavian ingredients. On the wine list you can not only find the tradi
We step into the restaurant and athmosphere was calm and sophisticated. There was only 4 ladys and us, even it was Friday evening! We ordered glass of cava and dry martini for aperitives. Both were good, specially fruity cava. With food I had fruity and crisp riesling from Germany. Nice surprise! Then food, first we had amuse, cold potate salad with salmon, simply & good! I had as starter scampi with pepper-onion jam and my daddy had veal with butternut squash. My dish was okay, there was too much vinegar in radish what made the starter taste very acid. Veal was very good.Main course; Salmon 43 was okay, I think it was little bit overcooked. Still integrity was very well presented and flavours was balanced. Duck confit was smooth and tender. Plus points: duck was Finnish! Overall good dinner.Service was polite and very friendly. Waitress has a good knowledge of wines and foods, like I expected she has to have. Henriks is very nice place to enjoy quality food & wine. I will return when it's time to have asparagus.

We had a dinner with friends without a reservation. The place was packed, but they were able to give us the last free table, and the service was very good even though they were in a hurry. The wine recommendation for me was spot on, and everyone was pretty content with their food. I would recommend, and we will be going back.

All the other positive reviews are 100% correct. No point in repeating everything here. I have often been disappointed in Finnish "fine dining" places but not here. Superb food made using local ingredients, really friendly and professional service and as many have mentioned, the wine pairings are brilliant. Last but not the least, it is all reasonably priced, including the wines, which is not easy to find in Finland. Hope to visit again soon!!!
