Top 7 Concerts & Shows in Bay Street Corridor, Canada

December 11, 2021 Enedina Augsburger

We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

Just attended the matinee performance of the Nutcracker on December 08, 2018. I highly recommend this attraction that continues through to December 30, 2018 whether you are a fan of the ballet or not. A fine example of modern day theatrical magic and wonder for all ages. Easy access in the heart of Toronto by nearby TTC subway university line at the corner of University and Queen St w. If you prefer to drive, there is parking available in the parking garage entry from York St. We were able to park inside, and leave our coats in the car, walk through the warm parking garage and take the elevator up to the theater entrance. There is a large bright lobby with some areas to sit and relax before the doors open to the theater. Refreshment is available and you can pre-order for the intermission.

We had so much fun! The dinner was good, lots to choose from and enjoy. The show was engaging and the actors are great! It is so intentionally cheesy and punny (get it)! Ha, I should be in the show. Honestly I haven’t laughed like that in a while and I think I smiled the whole time. I have to say the duchess and the detective were highlights for me! Honestly, the only way not to have a great time at this show is if YOU are the problem...don’t be a potato.

Yonge-Dundas Sqaure is Toronto's answer to Time Square in New York. It's spacious and very inviting. It's somewhat of an oasis in the middle of downtown away from all the tall buildings and hustle and bustle of the crowds and traffic. You can also get some great pictures here. And to top it off during the warmer weather it offers some excellent concerts, events, and even free movies.

Amaluna- Cirque Du Soleil

Not really sure what to expect as my impression of circus's as a child was not great. However this show was really good at The Royal Albert Hall. A good mix of skill and slapstick made for an evening of entertainment which is what it is supposed to be. Some of the acrobatics were truly amazing as were the other floor routines. This is good for both adults and children.
