Reviews on Chinese food in Vevey, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. On the Swiss Riviera, Vevey is perched between Mount PÂlerin and Lake Geneva. Writers, artists and intellectuals have long been attracted to the village: Henry James's "Daisy Miller" is set here (you can still stay at the Hotel des Trois Couronnes) and Charlie Chaplin made nearby Corsier his home. Today, it's the headquarters for Nestl yet retains its old-world charm. To see for yourself, meander the alleys of Old Town, visit the fine art collection at the Muse Jenisch and shop at the weekly market.

Food was more than just delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our dinner to the fullest. We ordered bÅuf mijoté, porc aigre piquant, some of their dumplings and sushis. All of them were amazing ! Delicious delicious delicious :-) The price was very reasonable, nothing steep at all. The staffs are also friendly and kindly smiling all the time. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who want to try the best asian restaurant in Vevey. My husband and I, four thumbs up!

If you're in town and looking for a place to grab a quick and inexpensive bite to eat, this place is a very good option. During the week, in addition to their regular menu, they offer three different daily menus priced at CHF 14, 16, and 18. All of the menus include soup and rice, white or fried. Both my husband's chicken chop-suey and my shrimp with vegetables were made with very fresh ingredients and arrived at the table piping hot. The service is efficient, prompt, and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty, inexpensive lunch.

Look past the very slightly dated appearance, say hello to members of the family as you sit down and just enjoy freshly cooked, delicious food that isn't too heavy but tastes truly authentic. No pressure to rush, very friendly and helpful service, and a rather tasty complimentary 'digestif' to round off a very enjoyable meal.

We went here on a Monday night, so the place was quite quiet. As a result we got a table by the window, so we could see people walking past above our heads (you have to go down some steps to reach the restaurant floor). The service was friendly and attentive, both in English and in French and the food was excellent. There is a choice of set menus, ranging from 33-77 CHF per person plus a good selection on the à la carte menu. I also had a very nice Dôle Blanche, which went well with the food. This place is not cheap, but it's a lot more civilised than some Chinese restaurants in the area.

I am very delighted to know Chez Xu has a branch in Vevey which is near where I live so noneed to travel all the way to Lausanne or Renens. Since its opening in April, I have been regular and very happy with the food and portion. Moreover, the lady boss is very nice and generous. I enjoyed a lot with some of my favourite dishes like fish with salted vegetables, dumplings, eggplant, toufu, cucumber plus alga starters. I would strongly recommend you to try !!!

Me and my family have been in Noix de Coco in Vevey several times, as always the food is very good and the price reasonable for Swiss standards. They are however becoming victims of their own success. The place is always crowded and thus the service and family atmosphere has somehow faded a bit.I still continue to recommend it to anyone in Vevey.

A modern asian kitchen ,with the only teppan-yaki in lausanne city Japanese ,chinese, thai and vietnam kitchen all in the same house open 6/7 11:00-14:30 and 18:00-22:30,monday to friday lunch buffet 25 p.p
We went for the Teppanyaki table and the Japanese beef. Very few people around (rainy weather..) so waiters maybe eager to do something resulting in a quick service turning into fast food style. In 20 min dinner was over...A miso soup, a bowl of white rice some soya beans quickly warmed up and this beef at an astronomical price (180 gr is priced on the menue 119 chf). Beyond the price nothing else impress. The "show" from the chef (which I suspect Chinese not Japanese) is a 30 sec knives clanking and a final flambe' burst. The beef was a far cry from the "Shabu-shabu" Kobe beef I had multiple times in Osaka. We quickly left upset and still a bit hungryhello ,dear custom ,thank you so much to come and eat in takasan ,bu we do not understand that you have order the wagyu steak from Australian and you compare with the kobe beef shabu-shabu ? it is just like you compare a saumon with a tuna .really 2 different things .and our chef for the teppanyaki is malaysien ,witch is not Japanese nether Chinese ,but we feel still very sorry to hear that for this 2 reasons ,1 it is quite racist to say that ,and 2 the teppan-yaki kitchen is a fusion style cuisine ,the best teppanyaki chef in the world is the south mercian and south east asian ,because they are really good to make the show such as the knife show you have seen in our house .thanks for your unstanding .takasan team
