Hit and miss, we have a cabin nearby and wish this establishment every success for selfish reasons. The staffing seems to vary from insufficient to plenty competent. Food is generally good kudos to the latest chef. Outdoor patio is great as long as you donât get forgotten. They have a lovely property suited to those with dogs and canine watering Station is a nice touch.We like the theme nights. Try it out form your own opinion based on staffing. If it looks scarce git on down the road.

We were there for lunch and while the drinks came quickly, our lunch did not. We waiting over 35 minutes for SALADS and wraps. Someone from our party went inside to see what the hold up was and the chef was very rude to her. We should have walked out right then. Do NOT sit at the far back section of the backyard as that is for the Chinese restaurant - as we found out an hour after sitting down. The owner of Harry's took our order. You would think he would tell us to move tables for service. Anyway, the food was good and I love the courtyard private setting, I will give them that, but the service was horrible. Don't go there if you are in a hurry.

We had lunch at the courtyard. It seemed to be a very easy to prepare lunch Two Montreal style smoked meat sandwich and one green salad. It took the one hour to bring the food to our table. When we arrived the place was not full and there were at least three people attending tables. Did they go all the way to Montreal to get the meat??? Otherwise it is unreliable. Apart from that I did not want a mustard creamy vinaigrette because of some food restrictions that I have, but the waiter insisted three times that it was the dressing that came with my salad. It is so difficult to bring some oil? For a place so nice as Merrickville and the nice patio they have, they could make an effort to have customers happy.

Just happen to stop in Merrickville hungry! Found and Bob's Fish n Chips and found great food. Decided on one order of the Fish n Chips for two people and that was plenty. Great fresh codfish, batter was very good and fries were wonderful. Thanks! Outdoor seating only!

We had breakfast at Mainstreet the day after Prime Rib Night and the chef had shaved the delicious ends of the prime rib for breakfast bagels with cheese, egg and the beef. Home fries were delicious and garlicky, and one of us substituted a generous side of fruit.

We had lunch : Small Blockhouse pizza $15.99 tasted like a frozen pizza actually some frozen pizzas are better than this Blockhouse one. Salad 99% lettuce barely no cucumbers or tomatoes for $13.99

Neat restaurant small but with lots of character!Limited spaces with possibility of eating inside or on the patio.Staffs are a delight from the host to the servers.The food menu is limited but very good.My husband and I had the roast beef and the mad sandwiches full of flavors.SHould have taken an half but eat the whole things.Highly recommended.
