Our favorite meal here is breakfast, available until 10:30 am. The eggs are cooked to order: medium is whites done, yolks runny, perfectly! Sausage patty is yummy, home fries crispy and delicious, biscuits are heavenly. They even have cut flowers on each table. The service crew is friendly and helpful. And it's a great value.
I got the address in the SW Louisiana boudin trail brochure, by the Lake Charles convention and visitors bureau. The building looks like nothing. It is divided between a small store selling boudin, cracklins, etc, all smoked in-house, and a 5-table restaurant with a limited menu. My dinner, served in a styrofoam box, was delicious, copious (too much for me). Meal, salad, cake, cookie and soft drink for $10. Hard to beat.

Itâs been a couple years since I have been here so I wasnât expecting to be impressed since that visit was okay not great. But today was DELICIOUS!! We got there around 3pm and several tables and bar were filled. Sweet girl greeted us and offered us a table near the window. Our waitress arrived quickly and was very friendly and helpful. I said I couldnât decide between two choices and asked for her opinion and went with it. Our table had the chicken salad croissants and sweet potato fries. I had the chicken baked potato with gravy. It was huge and I knew I couldnât finish it but it was so good I barely left the foil! The sweet potatoes were coated with cinnamon and yummy! The tea was freshly made. Waitress ensured we were taken care of and all smiles. Be prepared itâs a little pricey but definitely recommend it!

Some of the best gumbo I have ever had! We would love to try some of the other menu items too, because they looked delicious. Comfortably elegant restaurant full of happy locals at lunchtime. Nice staff, although our waiter had a little trouble answering questions about the menu; perhaps he was new. This is where we will come the next time we are in Lake Charles.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at Farmer's Pick Buffet at Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Lake Charles, featuring magnificent breakfast spreads, tender chicken and beef entrées, crisp salads, and savory side dishes. Decisions...decis
Based on the "Farmer's Pick" description, we expected lots of good vegetables. Unfortunately, must of them were overcooked mush, over seasoned, and cold. Normally we call all find something that we like on a buffet, but everyone was disappointed. Service was good but food not so much. We should have noted that the place was empty before we paid.Hi there, we appreciate your feedback about your experience at Farmer's Pick Buffet. If you like, no if you love seafood, this is the place. It's down home with a friendly local feel. We could not have been treated more nicely than we were. Options were carefully explain and then the feast began. We do not live in an area where you can get fresh shrimp. You can here and they are good. The gumbo was great and the grilled shrimp was also a winner. You can get a bib, a roll of paper towels and a large container of baby wipes to help sop up the juices and debris. We loved our meal. Thanks you'all.
