Met old high school classmate for lunch after meeting in Lake Charles. He highly recommended the one half shrimp po-boy, and he was right! Thereweâre plenty of them, with local sauce & fully dressed. A delicious meal.

Our favorite meal here is breakfast, available until 10:30 am. The eggs are cooked to order: medium is whites done, yolks runny, perfectly! Sausage patty is yummy, home fries crispy and delicious, biscuits are heavenly. They even have cut flowers on each table. The service crew is friendly and helpful. And it's a great value.

Family atmosphere without the pressure to get your order finish and leave so someone else can do the same. Walk Onâs is a chain that operates like a locally owned family restaurant/grill. Easy living atmosphere, friendly waiters and staff and exceptional surroundings. Food is excellent across the menu and not a shock to the pocketbook. Expect to be pampered when asking about menu items you may not be familiar with. The best eating experiences are always when you feel like you are special, and that s Walk Onâs speciality. For those who want to watch the latest sporting event, just look at one of the walls and you will find your game. Want a libation reserved for adults just visit the bar and you can start a tab and get your on spicket of your favorite brew.Always plenty of easy parking and seating inside a spacious upbeat facility. But the winning element has to be the food and service.

Itâs been a couple years since I have been here so I wasnât expecting to be impressed since that visit was okay not great. But today was DELICIOUS!! We got there around 3pm and several tables and bar were filled. Sweet girl greeted us and offered us a table near the window. Our waitress arrived quickly and was very friendly and helpful. I said I couldnât decide between two choices and asked for her opinion and went with it. Our table had the chicken salad croissants and sweet potato fries. I had the chicken baked potato with gravy. It was huge and I knew I couldnât finish it but it was so good I barely left the foil! The sweet potatoes were coated with cinnamon and yummy! The tea was freshly made. Waitress ensured we were taken care of and all smiles. Be prepared itâs a little pricey but definitely recommend it!

Some of the best gumbo I have ever had! We would love to try some of the other menu items too, because they looked delicious. Comfortably elegant restaurant full of happy locals at lunchtime. Nice staff, although our waiter had a little trouble answering questions about the menu; perhaps he was new. This is where we will come the next time we are in Lake Charles.

If you like, no if you love seafood, this is the place. It's down home with a friendly local feel. We could not have been treated more nicely than we were. Options were carefully explain and then the feast began. We do not live in an area where you can get fresh shrimp. You can here and they are good. The gumbo was great and the grilled shrimp was also a winner. You can get a bib, a roll of paper towels and a large container of baby wipes to help sop up the juices and debris. We loved our meal. Thanks you'all.
