Reviews on Cafe food in Tangier, Tangier-Tetouan Region, Morocco. Located on the Strait of Gibraltar where Africa meets Europe, Tangier has long held strategic importance. Ruled through the centuries by waves of conquerors including Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Arabs and Portuguese, the city is more than two and a half millennia old, making it one of North Africa's most ancient. The medina, kasbah, bazaars and souks are among the country's most vibrant, and the beaches are excellent. In the last century, Tangier became a hot spot for the international jet set.

I went in here to check it out because of the infamy of the place. While I was there, the new manager told me I could trust someone who was heading in the same direction. Wrong. The guy turned out to be a local hustler who led me to a few tourist kickback shops and demanded a ridiculous tip for him and his friend for the "service". The Cafe Baba manager obviously knew him well. Don't trust anyone in this place including the management.

LocationA very scenic restaurant, by the sea. Occasionally you can spot some camels passing by.FoodA large range of food is served here. Western, Moroccan. Price is reasonable. Try the Amlou. Itâs really good. Service Service is abit slow, but isnât an issue. Since we are there for the good view.

Beautiful atmosphere and great mint tea served by the owner. We found ourselves in the middle of a local book review and the place was buzzing, music playing and a great atmosphere. The bright decor and wall decorations added to the atmosphere. Afterwards the owner explained all the pictures on the wall of famous people and told us a famous french artist had painted his cafe and the painting was hanging in the Louvre in Paris.

If it wasn't for the view It probably would be empty alot. The food was good when it opened..service was also good. The burgers...the pastas... very very good..Now the service....you have to wave down the people to get a menu...you have dirty broken menus.... when we came for breakfast it took 25 minutes to get our food and got the wrong food.Took my friends here from the states....30 minutes for some non good cold food.....was really disappointed.Recently we have gone there to get more breakfast and continue to be disappointed...the view keeps this place alive... the service and food doesnt.
Most Popular Soups food in Tangier, Tangier-Tetouan Region, Morocco
In our restaurant, we have a big range for tourists that would like to try moroccan food. For our locals, we have dishes to change the routines. Harira and couscous(Fridays) also available. Most important, we like to serve what we would like to eat. Don't
We were struggled to find authentic food at a good price, and hence why I am writing this review to help others. Staff couldn't be nicer, as well as entertaining! My friend dropped his dinner on his legs and the restaurant were very accommodating to say the least. Highly recommend the peasant soup dish Bissara.

Modern, trendy place, attracting many people who want to be seen there ( locals not tourists). Their cakes and pastries are wonderful. However service is very slow and very unwelcoming. Staff serve tables and no more ! We really did detect a take it or leave it attitude and not sire if this was just directed at tourists? It felt that way. It doesnt matter how good and attractive your cakes and premises are when you have staff like this !!! A definite training need !

On the edge of the continent with some great view of Spain and Gibraltar, this Cafe Hafa is a beautiful place to spend an evening with some Moroccan tea, some peanuts and great talks with a company. Its not like a proper cafe, there are huge steps with stone tables, plastic and steel chairs. Its not very clean but a rustic place where locals chill.
