Had daughters 21st birthday celebration at Gilbert & Wrights Swords last weekend.- fab night had by all!!! Food was fab, staff (Paul, Shannon, Sarah, Ciaran, Karl and doorman {didn't get his name :-)} were all so incredibly helpful and friendly. Helped us set up for the night with balloons, table decorations etc. Nothing was too much trouble!! Would definitely recommend for any celebration!!! Daughter says she wouldn't have changed a thing about her night - PERFECT!!!
Nice atmosphere. Great coffee and the chocolate sweets were divine. Buzzy place in the centre of the shops. Really enjoyed ourselves.

When I ordered my morning cappuccino fix this morning, little did I know that I would be writing about the experience this evening. I discovered this small and charming place quite by accident. I went in and ordered my coffee. The waitress was charm itself and insisted on serving me outside at my table in the sun. It was one of the most delicious and attractively presented cups of coffee I have ever been served in Ireland and to have it sitting in the morning sun was a bonus. Well done!

Had a light lunch here yesterday of soup and delicious brown bread. Price was about average for soup so no complaints there. However there was absolute organised chaos behind the counter. There were four people ahead of me on the queue and the girl immediately in front of me asked to have her stew put back under the hot lights because it would have gone cold by the time the cashier got her act together. The young girl at the till constantly walked away from it to get cookies and muffins for customers. This is not acceptable â she is either on the till or she isnât. It wasnât fair to her or the customers. The hot food looked gorgeous and we would love to try a dinner here at some time, but the queuing disaster would definitely put us off. The lady behind me was also complaining about the carry on. Who is in charge here as it appeared it was a free for all. Same problem here as with several other cafés/restaurants - small toddlers being left to their own devices rambling around the place - a disaster waiting to happen with trays of hot food moving to and fro! Nice place though even with the very pricey Halloween and Christmas goodies.

Family run Cafe serving good quality wholesome food made fresh every day - our coffee is hand roasted organic coffee and our chocolate brownies are to die for - come along for a visit and see for yourself
Followed the directions on the blackboard when I arrived ..... " Take a menu, find a table we'll take your order" - 15 mins passed before a Scottish gentleman hits (not taps) my shoulder and asks my if I want to order? So I order a " gobble gobble" and a Coke assuming that my sandwich will be max 10 mins, allowing time for prep of the bacon that's on the sandwich I ordered..... 15 mins later the can of coke is dropped over with a roasting hot glass...... 10 mins following that (25 mins in total since ordering) still no sandwich.... From where I'm sitting I can see that the lady working in the kitchen is getting flustered with all the orders and is only managing to prepare one sandwich at a time, meanwhile floor staff are bumbling about doing nothing very much important..... 40 mins after ordering the sandwich is delivered.... Nothing very special at all - sliced turkey, bacon, cheese slightly melted and cranberry sauce nothing special at all and no apology about the delay. Not sure where this place is going but it has work to do if it's to keep up with the competition - I walked 20 yards around the corner afterward and got a coffee made in less than 30 seconds.......

Much like their other branch, Swords is a very busy restaurant that does lovely tasty food at reasonable prices. The server today was incredible, clearly the more senior staff member, she ran the floor with professionalism and skill. Both the food and lovely service was welcomed and I will be returning.
