United Kingdom Food Guide: 3 Indian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Porthcawl
A local family run cafe, with friendly service and delicious food!
We were in the area yesterday on business and it happened to be lunchtime. This cafe was nearby so we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The premises were clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food is basic, cafe fare, but reasonably priced and well cooked. It was served piping hot and well presented. I would definitely recommend the cafe and revisit if in the area again. The all day breakfasts are exceptionally good value.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food tastes homemade and is quite substantial and a good price. Would recommend the corned beef pie - it was delicious and a good portion.

Must admit havenât been to Porthcawl for sometime!I had to meet a retired Client so we met at this fantastic place. We both had the mini pier breakfasts which, as usual were epic. Those jokes of restaurants near the Pier should take a leaf out their book and make meals like the Pier Cafe does, and charge similar, not inflated prices!

Whilst shopping in town we wanted a coffee so called into this cafe which was absolutely packed out on a Tuesday morning! We did find a table inside, there were outside seats but it was a bit chilly for that. The staff were lovely both the lady who served me and the barista chatted to me.Nice coffee and good service.

A Porthcawl institution, and its food is good and the staff are wonderful and clearly love their jobs. But its trading on its past. This place could be such a draw..it has the same sort of legacy as the Kardomah in Swansea, and should be protected/listed in the same way, but its owners seemingly do not wish to invest, which is such a pity - it could be so much more. As other reviewers have mentioned, a complete weeks close down for a deep clean and bit of TLC would work wonders. Please, please don't let this gem just fade away, or worse be shut down due to poor hygiene and the site be 'redeveloped' for flats.

Expect a very warm welcome from everyone at the Broomwagon Cafe. We serve homemade cakes, breakfast, brunches and home cooked lunch ranging from Panini, Omelette, Salads, Lasagne and Daily Specials. We also have a great selection for vegetarians. Deliciou
Lovely little place slightly off the beaten track but well worth a visit.Great value breakfasts served by friendly staff who were very accommodating with our requests. All orders were spot on which isn't easy with ten people most of who wanted to change something. The food was good and all the breakfasts came at the same time so no one was left waiting.
