The homemade desserts and pastries are made every morning. The coffee is fresh. The homemade chips and fried green beans are great! Breakfast is good, lunch is good too! I have had supper yet. I have had the hamburger with the fresh bun and the chicken saladâboth were delicious! You are given kettle corn to munch on while you wait for you food! Itâs just a sweet restaurant
This Starbucks is inside Food City. It operates like a regular Starbucks though and accepts Starbucks cards and rewards. Our drinks were excellent, and we were in and out quickly. It's a good place to stop.
Downtown Middlesboro has a very interesting history. The slight tinge of decay that haunts this town no, betrays what a bustling, if not somewhat seedy, place it was in years gone by. The value the town is in was formed by a meteor strike. It was called the Las Vegas of the south in its day. There are connections to the mob. One could go on and on. Now Middlesboro is re-emerging from the ashes as a new potential hotspot.Leading the way is Shades of Brown, a cute little coffee shop newly opened in downtown Middlesboro. Definitely worth the stop.

Don't forget the Fried Green Tomato appetizer...I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Give it a try the experience is second to none!

We had the most wonderful panini sandwiches Iâve ever had here. One of todayâs (Fathers Day) specials was French onion grilled cheese panini. And OMG it was wonderful. The bread was so light and airy. Not overly crusty like most paninis. It almost melted in my mouth. Hubby had the melted ham panini. Chips came with it. We ate at a table in the shade outside. They have tables by the creek too which would be nice. We chose ice cream for dessert and it was wonderful. It was just a very special day at a very special place. I would make this a regular visit if we only lived close. Worth a drive even out of your way to try their food.

We are a Cafe' that has soups, salads, sandwiches (paninis) and desserts in the "front" of the house. On Thursdays, Friday's , and Saturdays we also have a steakhouse menu that offers full sit down dinners and table service in the "back" of the house.....
This place is truly worth the wait, the experience and your time. Not to be missed! I was in town last Friday for a brief trip and looked at the reviews of this little gem. I decided to stop by- I am so glad that I did. Saw a gentleman having soup and asked what kind it was. He gave a resounding "potato soup" and you have to try it!!! Turns out, it was absolutely fabulous. The gentleman, by the way, turned out to be the Mayor of the town. That was an added bonus. A true southern gentleman. After indulging in this homemade treat, I met some of the staff who encouraged me to comeback for dinner, which I am delighted to say, was a great decision. The place is small, but don't be disheartened if you have to wait. The food is off the charts, fantastic! It rivals some of the big city meals i have enjoyed in my travels around the country. I had the chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, shrimp skewers and the most underrated but fabulous salad, complete with homemade ranch dressing. Our server, Jackie, was truly an energetic and spirited lady. She made the experience so worthwhile. We also met Jim, who runs the place - top notch, for sure, his sister, and the owner, Steve, who stopped by our table for a friendly chat. Do not miss this place. It is a force to be reckoned with. Go. You will not regret it.
