Things to do in Acre
Cafe Cafe is a well-known chain in Israel. However, today we had one big disappointment at the Acre Cafe Cafe. We had booked 15 places for our staff to have an end of the academic year luncheon. When we got there the places had not been kept and the manager refused to help us, even though by asking a few customers to move he could have overcome the problem. After waiting for too long, I ordered an ice coffee which was fine but there was no time for a meal as I had to return to the college after an hour. Having had a really mixed-up order at the Nahariya Arena Mall Cafe Cafe, when we got the wrong order and was over-charged for it and the salad was inedible due to having been in the kitchen to long, I think we will now give this chain a miss until they get their staff trained, their managers managing and their kitchens fresh

It was a rainy morning when we were visiting Acre. Our friend wanted to visit the Synagogue near by, and I wanted coffee. This lovely bakery/ coffee shop is located opposite Acre's Court of Justice. They have here an impressive cakes selection. The cake's display is colorful and you want to have it all. We had great nuts pie and coffee. I am sure we will return here to try some more cakes.

Local people recommend is Abu Elias for a good humus and they were right. All the dishes we tried (four as far as I remember) were excellent, very smooth and with the right level of acidity.

Having drank 2 dreadful cups of coffee, we paid by card, however, they insisted they didn't have internet, and couldn't take the payment. They informed us that we could pay in dollars, and told us the cost would be $8. I informed them that the cost was nearer $5, which we duly paid. When we were able, we checked the card that had been used, and the money had been taken. THIEVES!

If you love Goat products, this is the place that you must visit while in Israel. Ariel is making all the Goat products by himself. This dairy, combined with the Coffee Shop is the perfect combination for a great dairy meal!
If you know you're coming, it's a good idea to make a reservation. Absolutely delicious egg and cheese dishes. Fresh vegetables, salads. Great coffee (I had hafuch with goat's mild - scrumptious). Great cheese counter, beautiful jams and delicacies to buy. You can also tour the dairy farm if you have an appointment.
