We are a travel agency who offer transfer service from Chetumal to Belize and Guatemala, we are a company to worrie for the save and comfortable trip for the traveler.. Keep calm and still travel with the best Marlin Espadas
We took the shuttle from Chetumal to Flores on Labour Day. We had booked online with Guatego (you can also book directly on their website) for US visa purposes. We arrived early at the terminal (it's in a weird spot but we stayed at a nearby airbnb for a night) and they greeted us at the taxi and showed us the coffee and snacks. The man there helped us fill in our border security form and kept us informed while we waited. We needed a physical official ticket so everyone went into the office in turn. A little complex - our tickets had been sent through Whatsapp to the office but we got them printed. We left at 9:30 in a 25 seater van with Aircon, 20 mins to the border with a quick roadside snack stop. No money needed to cross through to Belize. We were well informed of costs and what was happening. We arrived in Belize City at 11:45am and needed to be back for our bus change at 1:15. We were able to leave our things on the bus and go to the water taxi terminal. NB Bathrooms there are $1BZD for 1 person or $1USD for 2 people. Number of food options but I advise you to pack your own to avoid changing $ if only transiting. We left at 1:30ish with new passengers, some luggage on the roof. Ensure your valuables and breakables are 'carry on'. Border crossing at Belize-Guatemala also easy. It was $32.50USD for 2 of us traveling as a family. Then we arrived in Flores at 6pm ish and offered a free beer on arrival. No pressure to book anything and we were able to change some pesos as well. Easy, reliable and comfortable trip for us - just leave western expectations at home! It was great for Central America standards.
