Hacienda Cacaotera Jesus Maria is a place where you can enjoy the authentic experience of Cacao and Chocolate culture from Tabasco, Mexico. Come and visit an ecological and organic plantation with more than 100 years of tradition. From Rio Mazapa, Tabasco, the first Spanish ships set sail with chocolate cargo to Spain, "from Tabasco to the world". Here you can make your own artisan chocolate just as the Mayas-chontales did. Come and visit us at the Eden of Mexico, in Comalcalco, Tabasco!

Very well preserved and a great start to our archeological Mayan zone trip. Buildings use thin bricks of baked clay rather than stones. So interesting.

We were looking for an air conditioned place to visit and are very glad we went. Wonderful relics with signage in both Spanish and English. Easy parking. Worth an hour or two of your time to gain a greater understanding of Olmec culture, Mexican history, and the state of Tabasco. Did you know there’s more acres of water than of dry land in Tabasco?

This park is a combined zoo and archaeology park. The zoo is not so good but the archaeology park is phenomenal. The archaeology part is a collection of colossal heads and other 'sculpture' type pieces mostly from La Venta. I had not seen sacred columns before so I learned something here. Also this is the first place I have come across that described mosaic tiles in English. All other signage is also bi-lingual. I went during the day but based on all the lighting I saw it looks like it might be even more attractive at night.
