Located in the beautiful War Eagle Valley, the War Eagle Mill offers a historical perspective to life in the Ozarks. Visit the Mill and the historic bridge on the river, learn about the history of the region, shop for organic and locally made foods and local crafts. Top your visit with a meal at the Bean Palace cafe."
I gave this attraction 5 stars, because it is truly a piece of history. The mill is a functioning mill from the 1800s built by original settlers to the area. The workers love their jobs and offer a free tour with lots of wonderful info. On the third floor is a restaurant that has good food, great service, reasonable prices...and in many ways is like a step back in time. The bottom and 2nd floors have gifts as well as the functioning mill wheel on the 1st floor. The location is great for photos. For those on a tight budget, there is no pressure to purchase anything...you can just do a free tour and look around and take pictures!

ARKANSAS' MOST POPULAR PRIVATE SHOW CAVE! Walk straight into a mountain through a huge natural entrance on the shores of Beaver Lake. Our friendly, story-telling guides make for great fun on a one-hour long adventure into the depths of the cavern! After the tour, feed the fish at our boat dock on Beaver Lake, explore our short nature trails, enjoy pretty lookouts along our bluff lines, and play in the "Big Dig". Pan for real gems at the War Eagle Mining Co. - keep everything you find! Search for five lost Indian villages in the Lost in the Woods Maze - then find your way OUT! And you gotta experience our newest attraction - the Moonshiners' Mystery Shack! We're pet and stroller friendly. Open 7 days a week, last tour of the day at 4 pm.
Really enjoyed our visit to the War Eagle Cavern!! Arriving on a rainy Tuesday at 1:15 pm, my wife, I, and Lance (who did a GREAT JOB guiding us through the Canyon and pointing out all the beautifully-rugged features) were the only people on our hour-long tour. Hope You enjoy as much as we enjoyed touring the Cavern!

If you are looking for a place to visit, go to Hobbs State Park. We took my mother for a drive last Saturday. We had not been to Hobbs in years and wound up there. The visitor center is beautiful and very clean. There is a beautiful view from the inside where there are large windows to look out. Very interesting museum too! I recommend this little place to all ages. The kids will love to watch them feed the frogs and snakes. Hiking and biking trails too.

In recent past this park has been updated greatly. Great place to take the kids out to run in the wide open areas and play on some very nice playground equipment. They have a couple of pavilions that can be used for picnics, a easy walking trail around the lake and plenty of shade for those hot days. There is even a little stream that I've watched kids play in.
