Wat Yansangwararam (Locally known as Wat Yan) is a one of the most impressive temples in Pattaya. The temple is located approximately 20 km south of the Pattaya. The temple was built in 1976. Wat Yansangwararam is surrounded by clean gardens, massive lakes & several different architectural styles of buildings, that make the complex a nice & peaceful place. The contemporary design is the most remarkable characteristic of Wat Yan. Many unique architectural influences from India, China, Japan & Lanna can be seen here. Inside the main complex you can find a replica footprint of the Buddha & a large stupa that contains a many relics from the Buddha. The complex is usually quiet, so It's an interesting place for practicing meditation. Public transport is not available for going to Wat Yan, so you have to go there by a group tour or with a private taxi or a rental car. It's a good idea to rent a car and go to the Wat Yan by rental car, So you can discover many attractions of this part of the city such as Nong Noch tropical garden, Silverlake vineyard, Swiss sheep farm, Ramayana Water Park and Buddha mountain. It's located only about 10 minutes away from Buddha Mountain. Standing in a certain spot in the Wat Yan, you can see the Buddha Mountain in the distance. It's really worth a visit for discovering the quieter side of Pattaya. The complex operates (8-17).

Some days this gets swamped with tourists and other days peaceful. It is a nice temple on top of the mountain overlooking Pattaya. I live Khao Phratamnak and have the fortune to listed to the Monks chanting on all the Buddhist holidays. I think there are some good photographic opportunities here. At minimum, a view of the city and surrounding area. Depends on what attracts you are what you like.

The Soi Buakhao Market is definitely not posh or trendy. It's mostly under a kind of a roof. The ground is exposed so there's dust and at times small puddles. The layout is so that in the center are lots and lots of clothes, household items, accessories, baggage and bags, kids stuff, and cosmetics. On the outside, circling the large market, are lots of food vendors including fresh produce as well as cooked food, as well as small vendors offering meals and drinks with a few basic chairs and tables to sit, eat, chill, and rest. The display is huge, the choices lovely, and the prices are excellent. I bought myself a few clothes - all turned out to be great. Had a coffee, a lunch, and had a great time. Note that it is open only on Tuesday and Friday at day time. By around 3pm it was closing down.

Visit the beach every day and like the fact that if you find a vendor that you like you can reserve your chair for the entire stay as long as you come to the beach every day or tell them if you are nor coming so they can rent the chair to another person for that day. The beach offer a wide selection of service where massage and mani-pedicure is the 2 approved by the city. Then you have the fresh fruit vendors and ice cream vendors that are a welcoming treat. In addition to this you have the regular vendors with a wide selection of items. If you are European and enjoy German food they have 2 ladies 5hat walk around in rage afternoon after 1 with a wide selection of cooked meat, sausages etc and if you opting to eat at the beach they have bread rolls. They also have a selection of salads including a delicious potato salad. They carry everything in cooling bags and if you buy to bring home most of the time if you ask your chair vendor if you sit in that section for a while you can keep the items in their cooler until you go home. This year the city have upgraded the toilet facilities so they are very nice and clean, the fee for the service is 5 Baht, make sure you bring exact change since you put the money in a box and there is usually no attendant or change available. Hope you enjoy the beach as much as I do.

Baan Sukhawadee (house of heaven translated) really is just that! I have visited this place on numerous occasions when in Pattaya. There are a number of things to do here! First of all the grounds contain several large mansion type buildings filled with beautiful art works etc. If this isn’t your thing you can choose to just opt for the buffet and show. They have a couple of options for this aswell! 1. You can choose a seafood buffet with a smaller stage which runs a non stop show of around 10 dancers (various Thai/cabaret style songs) 2. You can choose to go with the main buffet which has an absolutely massive choice of dishes (maybe 100+) and has a large non stop show with roughly 30-50 performers showcasing a mix of cabaret, Thai and traditional Thai dance. The show comprises of beautiful men, women and ladyboys! The traditional Thai dancers (in costume) are absolutely outstanding and are easily the best I have seen in Pattaya. They are all trained to degree level in this dance which really shows. I would highly recommend buying the buffet and show ticket (about 300 baht per person) just to sit and watch the show. The show times are 11am- 2pm and 5pm-8pm and the 3 hours of the show is one new song after another so you will get to enjoy a vast array of musical styles and dances! Once again don’t hesitate to take a few hours out of your day to enjoy the talent of these wonderful dancers! - yes Tiffany show and a few other shows in Pattaya are well known, but apart from throwing more money at their stage effects they actually don’t have as talented performers! (Plus they charge about 3 times the price with no free buffet)! You will definitely not regret coming to baan Sukhawadee !

I am an American teacher and professor who has learned as a child as well as from children what helps them learn. Children want to learn what their parents and families like and make an effort to know. Elephants and flowers are the heritage of Thai children. Nevertheless, they should be shown the interest and fascination of marine life. California (USA) has the international venues of these interests and sciences. From San Diego to Eureka, the California Coast features many aquatic and marine habitats. Harbor seals, whale migration routes, Great White Sharks, maritime exhibits, Bodega Bay abalone sanctuaries are a small part of the state-wide activities of ocean life on display. But Pattaya is fortunate to have its Underwater World a short ride south on Sukhumvit Road. Although an adult, I take children to this wonderful learning venue whenever I can introduce them. They are bedazzled and amazed at what is displayed in the very interactive fish and marine exhibits.
