Top 7 Beer Tastings & Tours in New Orleans, Louisiana (LA)

December 21, 2021 Margarita Chappel

Laissez les bons temps rouler! In New Orleans the good times are perpetually rolling down Bourbon Street, which, thanks to the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration, has quite a party animal reputation. Once you’ve soaked up the scenery of the historic French Quarter, tour the elegant Garden District and meet the colorful characters of Frenchmen Street. Experience the city's supernatural vibe at the Voodoo Museum or by taking a guided ghost or vampire tour through taverns, alleyways, and cemeteries.

A New Orleans native, I work with some of my favorite places to help you drink and eat like a local in Bywater! The arts and food/bar scene are the main draws to this bohemian neighborhood that thrives on the soul of our culture. In addition to enjoying food stops, you'll see street art, learn the roots of voodoo and see the site that launched the historic case of Homer v. Plessy. Experience Cajun history told through sausage, our Haitian influence in a historic food hall, German-New Orleans fusion on the Mississippi River and a secret popsicle pop-up. This tour offers a unique look into Creole and Cajun classics and the new, innovative direction of our local cuisine. Food, drinks, tax & tip are included so you can sit back and relax! Will accommodate allergies/dietary restrictions if told in advance. Menu & food stops are subject to availability. Tour is all weather, wear comfy shoes & bring a face mask. I also offer the New Orleans Garden District Food & History Tour (7 days a week)!

Inclusions: Local taxes, Food tasting, Professional guide, Beverages, Alcoholic Beverages, Gratuities, Lunch

Exclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off

All curated food, cocktails/beer, taxes & tip are included in your ticket so you can sit back and relax! Will accommodate allergies/dietary restrictions if told in advance. Our guide, Gary was excellent. We saw and heard about all of the key sights in NOLA! Plus he took us to a Cafe DuMonde in City Park where we were able to get beignets without waiting in horrendous lines in the French Quarter. This tour allowed us to get our bearings for where we wanted to go on the rest of our visit and Gary even dropped us off at a restaurant we wanted to try at the end of the tour.

Not a good experience. MARY met us, my husband and I, as planned. The listing showed every 10 minutes you were at a different spot. Highlights. Our tour started at 7:30pm. At 7:50 pm we should’ve been to Bourbon St for the 1st of 2 stops. At 8:00 she had us heading away from Bourbon St not towards it. So I said “ aren’t we going to Bourbon St ? My husband was really counting on the stops at Bourbon St”. She said “ fine, if you don’t want to hear what I have to say I’ll take you to Bourbon St”. With that she took off 1/2 block ahead of us. We literally were running to try to keep up with her, which we never did. When we reached Bourbon St she took off to some side Street and left us. That was about 8:10 and our tour was till 9:00. Gone. Horrible to say the least.
