Top 7 Bed and Breakfast Inns in Seattle, United States

April 22, 2023 Frederic Celentano

In Seattle you simply can’t skip the Central Public Library – a modern architectural marvel of glass grids, unusual shapes, and a “book spiral” that climbs four stories. Stroll over to Pike Place Market to visit the original Starbucks and play catch with a fishmonger. In the heart of the city lies Chihuly Garden and Glass, which will dazzle you with its colorful and delicate works. Glide to the top of the Space Needle for panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and Puget Sound.

Sonder The Boylston

The jewel in the crown of the Pacific Northwest — welcome to the Emerald City. Through the neighborhood’s greenery-filled streets, make your way to The Boylston, unpack your bags, and settle into Seattle. Amidst the classic wooden slatted houses, find neon pops of artistic murals, funky cocktail bars, and innovative culinary options. Try a chestnut praline latte at Victrola Coffee Roasters to see where the coffee capital gets its title. Then head to the expansive Pike Place Market to explore a year-round farmers market, iconic eateries, and over 225 local artisans. After sufficiently spoiling yourself, brave the heights of the iconic Space Needle at the Seattle Center to catch awe-inspiring views of Mount Rainier. Escape Seattle’s moody weather for the evening by curling up with a bountiful bowl of noodles from Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya. Original charm maintained, The Boylston is a stair-access-only building, with no elevator.

Seattle was beautiful and our room at Sonder was perfect. Staff was available 24/7 via the app and any issue was taken care of quickly. We wondered if there was a microwave and less than 5 min later we were told one was being brought to the room?. We were on the 6th floor of a walk up but it's doable and by the end of stay it was a breeze. We will definitely stay again when back in Seattle.

Look elsewhere ~ 170 US for a tired old property that had items from previous guest(s) on the floor, noisy/dirty bathroom fan, caulking of various ages and degrees of decay around the tub.... you owe it to yourself to pass this one by. I'm amazed Wyndham is attaching its name to this place.

Great location. Clean. Charmin. Helpful and friendly staff. Needs better lighting. The one light in bath fits decor well, but is quite dim. Needs softer pillows. Bed is comfortable but pillows are hard. Ice in the building would be a bonus.

The Art Inn Seattle

Not for old people or a Saturday night if you want to sleep

Reviewed By dancingcloud33

So the hotel was ok, but if you are a light sleeper, go elsewhere. It is right in the heart of Seattle University and on Saturday, hordes of students stream by the hotel, or park by the hotel, talking loudly and playing music from their cars (for me this was until 3:30 am). I could also hear every time someone in my building opened or closed their door or the front door! The staff, while extremely helpful and friendly, are not on site. If your phone goes down or you are not comfortable using it as a key or texting, go elsewhere. Parking lot is not easy to park. Not a place that I would return to.

I booked this place through Hotels.com. After it was confirmed, they added additionals charges to the bill. I refused to pay for the additional charges and had the reservations canceled. Before this place, their great price is a fraud.
