Clean, comfortable & affordable en-suite rooms with a variety of bedding configurations and one self-contained 2 bedroom unit. 4x covered BBQ areas with picnic tables for use, free of charge. Halfway between Sydney and Brisbane with easy access parking for large vehicles and it’s a perfect base from which to explore the unspoiled Macleay Valley Coast which sweeps down from the hinterland to the sea. Pet friendly with conditions
A quick stopover on the Sydney- Bris drive with son and dog was needed. The room was very clean and freshly painted. The manager Wendy and the other manager lady were helpful and kind. They politely rang when we were late in and waited for us to let us in. They go above and beyond what is required for a simple roadside motel.

Booked by phone from Dorrigo. Last minute decision to travel further to Crescent Head rather than stay the night in Dorrigo. Person I spoke to on phone was very helpful in finding a way for me to use staynsw voucher. Room was large, well equipped and very quiet. Not a lot of options for accommodation in Crescent Head, but I thoroughly recommend Crescent Head Resort & Conference Centre

A lovingly renovated 1880s seaside guesthouse in the heart of South West Rocks. Situated half way between Sydney and Brisbane, on the mid north coast of NSW, this is the ideal location to break your trip as you drive up the Pacific coast from one major city to another. A home away from home!
Lovely room with large comfy bed. Clean ensuite. Balcony gave us great view to the beach. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The communal kitchen was handy for a quick breakfast and tea/coffe. We have stayed here before and will again when we next visit SW Rocks.

We enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay at Yarrahapinni Homestead. Kevin and Glenda were wonderful hosts and couldn’t do enough to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was also fantastic. Thank you very much.

Just finishing off a wonderful lunch meal…the beef cheeks and chicken schnitzel were fantastic. Excellent service and great renovations too! We didn’t try the hotel rooms but my wife wants to return to Kempsey just so our boys can taste the beef cheeks!

We cannot give this property a rating above zero ! Our decision to make a booking was based on photographs and the NRMA’s description of the property, which we now realise, must have been written decades ago, because the property in its current state bears no resemblance to the grandeur depicted online. The surrounding neighbourhood is slummy, and the appearance from the street such that we did not take our luggage in with us when we arrived as we thought it wise to inspect the property first. We found Netherby House to be dark, dingy, drab, and extremely run-down. The front verandah, far from being an inviting place to sit overlooking the river, was almost completely covered with junk. The bed in the room we were ushered into, was sagging badly in the centre, and covered with an old bedspread that looked decidedly grubby. Needless to add, there was no way that we would stay in such a place ! Our advice to any considering staying there would be to inspect it first.

The Magnesium Pool, Billabong Walk, Peacocks and the amazing glass features were favourites. We even got to utilise their new deck with stunning views for some Restorative Yoga! We will definitely be back! Thank you Julie, Cliff and Nicole for sharing with us your beautiful space ❤
