Logrono lies largely undiscovered among the vineyards of La Rioja, offering a taste of northern Spain without the crowds of its Basque neighbors. In the riverside old town, a staggering spate of tapas bars dish up bite-sized pintxos and local red wine.

You will be able to walk around the centre without being too far from your accommodation. In the vicinity, you will discover impressive historic monuments, taverns and shops. The old town is full of narrow streets where you will be able to enjoy the unbeatable cuisine of Logroño. Snack on some ‘pinchos’ (like tapas) whilst you sample the great Rioja wines or book a table in one of the best restaurants of this area. There is a long list of bars and restaurants in the old town of Logroño offering culinary options for all tastes. IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: The apartments at Sercotel Logroño Suites feature an automatic access system.
Professionally managed, large, luxurious, modern, the suites are superb value. A hall, dining area, kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom are clean and sleek, colour matched, quiet and discreet. Self check in is easy and efficient. Suites boast a modern look, with steel, glass and granite in whites and greys with fake wooden floors. Kitchenette has modern appliances, would be better if instruction cards were included, as not everyone is familiar with sleek European equipment. Also kitchen towels or handcloth would be very handy. Other than these small issues, this is an excellent accommodation for modern service suites in Logrono.

The Pension is housed in a 16th century building. Restored completely and cared to the last detail to give the maximum comfort, harmony and quality. The Pension consists of 5 rooms (4 double and 1 single) with 2 shared bathrooms and a lounge with private patio / terrace for guests. In the heart of Logrono Old Town, full of history, museums, openings, gastronomy and good wine. The Camino de Santiago runs through the building in which we are, adjacent to the Gran Casino. 2 minutes from the famous Calle Laurel and the streets of San Juan and San Agustin. The Rioja Museum is located in the latter. On the other side of these, just 300 meters away, we find the Bodegas Franco Espanolas and the Casa de las Ciencias. , all surrounded by the large park of the Ebro. An unbeatable location in a lodge that breathes pure Logrono.
I was so happy to find this place. Traveling alone I felt lucky to stay here for a week. The room was comfortable, clean, with AC and a TV. The shared bathrooms were always clean and the showers felt great. They even included a towel. Lovely experience here from check in to check out. Really felt at home here. And at a most excellent price and value. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay for a couple of nights. Super clean and comfortable. We opted for a room with an en suite which was very stylish. There are other rooms available with shared bathrooms. The pension is situated on the 4th floor of a block. A secure car parking space was provided in a basement car park. Very friendly and helpful host (no English spoken!) who provided us with a map of the city. Handy for walking into the old town which only took 5 to 10 minutes. I would stay again.

Nice big room and a really large bathroom, though no bath, just a shower. On the whole staff friendly but only one (the evening guy) speaks English. But then this is Spain! No meals option but plenty of cafes around. Booking.com say there is a balcony, but this was merely a full length picture window with sliding doors and a metal barrier. Also no radio despite Booking's advice. Air conditioning poor and controlled from reception despite a hand controller in the room. Lift available but will not take you down to GF level, only to reception, leaving you with stairs to negotiate with your baggage. The strange thing is that you can summon the lift to the lowest level if you are going up! Parking is an extra cost of €11 per day. It is awkward to say the least as it's around the corner and 3 levels underground! If you use it, be prepared to search for the lift that takes you to street level and to struggle with the key that opens the vehicle access door from the street when taking your car in. I write this without yet experiencing exit, which is different to access. That pleasure awaits me tomorrow! The area outside the hotel is pedestrianised but temporary parking to load/unload is OK if reception has your reg no. But it is one-way! Overall some small drawbacks but good value for money and very close to shopping, cafes etc and the historic parts of Logrono. Would I use again? I'd think hard first.

I was initially supposed to stay at Pension Sotelo, which is located nearby, but a bathroom problem forced the manager to relocate me at her other establishment, Pension Espolon. I'll never know how it would have been at the other place, but my stay at Pension Espolon was perfect. I spent two nights in Room 6 and I'd go back in a heartbeat. The room is nicely decorated and boasts plenty of space to put away your things. The bed was comfy, which is very important when you're walking the Camino de Santiago. The shared bathroom is quite spacious and kept clean. There is a mini-fridge that guests can use, as well as free water, tea, and coffee. Moreover, the pension is ideally situated near the bars, restaurants, shops, parks, etc. Everything is within walking distance. Highly recommended!

In the heart of the city. Located a few meters from the historical and step of the way street of Santiago. Many shops and cafes around.
Stayed for two nights mid May. Double room with shared bathroom. The most difficult aspect of the stay was locating the Pension which is on thw first floor of a massive apartment block. There is almost no signage apart from a small printout next to the buzzer. Parking in the city is tough but once settled in the Pension and off street parking all was fine.Bathroom was spotless and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. No frills but a Cheap, very clean and good value for money place which is obviously well run.
