Top 7 Bed and Breakfast Inns in Cody, United States

April 22, 2023 Moriah Teneyck

Cody, named for its legendary founder, Buffalo Bill Cody, remains as full of Old West adventure as it was during the days when Bill himself roamed Wyoming. Serving as the Eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Cody is just a few miles away from pristine wilderness where actual buffalo can still be seen. The town attracts tourists and cowboys alike with reenactments of famous shoot-outs, restored frontier buildings and with the Cody Stampede, which the town hosts every July 4.

What a way to start our trip in the West!

Even though we didn't get to spend as much time with Jerry as we would have liked (since we were on the go all day), we loved our stay at K-3 Guest Ranch. Jerry was definitely the entertainment, Heather was an excellent cook and Terry ran everything else like a fine oiled machine. We were so glad we were able to stay 4 nights and mostly did everything we had intended including a Wild Horse excursion (booked thru Jerry) and it was awesome. Met so many nice people and were able to share our experiences every day. Would definitely return! (We stayed in the Teton room).

Great place

If you are looking for a no frills basic stay with no cell phones, no TV this is the place. Our room was rustic but clean. Just a simple get back to nature place. Woke up most mornings with Bison somewhere around our cabin. Restaurant was wonderful with great food and service.

Stayed here two nights. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very reasonable price. We called and rooms were readily available. No issues whatsoever with the rooms and the service was great. Very nice place to stay for the price.

Beware

The photos online show a nice clean cabins but that was not the case in my experience. I found them to be run down, out of date and extremely dirty. There were stains on the bed sheets, carpets and towels with dead bugs in the cabin. What really made the experience bad was that they gave the cabin that I had reserved to someone else and got a lessor one without ac and without the king bed I requested. Beware before booking and would recommend staying elsewhere.

Non approved credit card charge

Reviewed By M3851ZNsteveb

My wife and I made a reservation to stay at this location with our RV. The process was fine until we checked our credit card transactions when we returned home. They had made a second charge to our card without our permission. I called them and they said we had two reservations and we were charged for a cancellation. They would not credit my card so I contacted the credit card company to dispute the charge. I don't know why I would make two reservations. Since Im writing this review I shall mention that the RV site was very poor, gravel, the water pressure was weak and the price was very expensive.

Be Cautious!

Reviewed By M4663DAjoshuah

The Owner was very rude. We booked a month or so in advance through Expedia and then the lady who runs the ranch called us to say if you cancel on Expedia and book over the phone we can give you a better deal (an unfortunate mistake). We went ahead and cancel to book with her because we trusted her (didn’t get a confirmation email or anything just a screenshot of the confirmation page). Then when we arrived, the room that was open for us was not what we viewed online. There was no ice buckets no tv, the floor mat was placed on the clean towels, wasn’t what we were hoping for. The owner told us that we picked out a specific room online when in fact we didn’t. She angrily proceeded to tell us we picked a room and told us we would not get a refund (not even a partial one) and would not help deescalate or resolve the situation so we unfortunately had to go elsewhere. If you book here on please keep records and confirmation of what you book. Use an external company like Expedia so you are protected. I hope this was just a isolated incident but just be cautious.
