As previously mentioned the expiry of the lease means the tenant is no longer on site, he turned up promptly when we phoned though. Just us and a painter in the building - room was delightful, clean and comfortable. SO needs a window blind though ; I was awake at 4.40 watching an amazing sunrise over pretty Deddington (think I may have preferred an extra three hours sleep)!

A beautiful country pub steeped in history located in Edgehill overlooking the battleground. We serve a full menu lunchtimes and evenings with a deli area offering a light bite throughout the day 7 days a week. The Castle offers four en-suite letting rooms, two of which; ‘Rupert’ and ‘King’s’ are situated in the main tower each offering a four-poster bed, an en-suite shower room and stunning views of the countryside below. We have been awarded 4 Stars by the AA.
Great beef main course and food all round was superb. The head waiter was attentive and attentive pleasant but the bar man and a younger male were overheard talking incessantly about being in the gym and what they could bench press. If they’d spent more time being attentive to their clientele, this would be a five star review.
