We ate lunch here 7 out of the 8 days and the choice is amazing - Thai , pastas,pizzas, burgers plus more substantial choices more suited to dinner - schnitzel, steak , fish.The food quality is excellent and served on the beach in a shaded area!We also had two beach BBQ âs and the BBQ fish is simply superb - they wrap it in banana leaf and then al foil. The end result is a perfectly cooked fish fillet that is most. ( they had freshly caught barracuda and it was delicious)The accompanying baked potato and grilled corn make for a substantial meal.They had a number of wines on special at 700 baht which is very reasonable and cheaper than what you can buy wine at a convenience store. There was also a 2014 French red on special at 650 baht- excellent value.Great value and excellent service - plus on most nights they have entertainment- the fire show is outstanding!

Been here several times to watch football. There are several bars in koh phangan calling themselves sports bars but they are not. This place shows everthing. Really friendly staff and the place for most draught beer loving locals.

Lovely! In this little town of yoga studios and vegan restaurants, Italian chef and fisherman Francesco Simonetti has built Il Barracuda, the restaurant of his dreams. Friendly and attentive service, great wine, carpaccio that melts in your mouth and, (of course!) grilled barracuda as a daily catch! We added a delicious pizza to round off the menu. Clean, lovely decor and a great synthesis of fresh local ingredients and an Italian flair. Support this young up and coming chef! He is meticulous, attentive and warm! Bravo!

Found this little place by coincidence and left utterly satisfied. The feeling of Italy is everywhere, in the friendly greetings from the sweet hostess, the interior, the appetizers and the large dinner portions, to the espresso served in the end. I ate so much of the delicious chickpeas cream and bruschetta that I had to ask for a bambino-portion of the spaghetti because I didn't want to leave any food behind (which they of course graciously delivered). My friend was happily suprised by the lasagna, as neither of us had ever had this traditional dish from the Abruzzo region before. So tasty! The wine was also excellent, even with only one choice (but the right choice, Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile - I had to come back the next evening only for a couple more glasses). After the meal we were too full to even try the Panna Cotta, so it has to be saved for next time, and hopefully then there will also be possible to get a Limoncello or Amaretto with the espresso (which was the only thing missing on an otherwise splendid, not too big, menu). There are many Italian restaurants on Koh Phangan, but trust me when I say this is The One. Amazing value for money! Thank you for your outstanding service and high quality food. We booked with Nim for a cooking class experience for our family of 4 which was very authentic and utterly fantastic. Nim is patient and so knowledgeable, working hard to explain how we can make these dishes when we go home with alternate ingredients if necessary. Kitchen was spotless. We cooked some truly delicious food and learned a lot about Thai cooking techniques. The cost was £1500 baht for 3 courses of our choice compared to local ( posher) hotel which wanted £2500 per 2 people. Fabulous value for a truly memorable time - Thank-you Nim. On behalf of our restaurant (Nim) I am very happy for your interested in our cooking class, we are very happy that you gave us a chance to teach you and really hope that we can teach again next time (maybe next year :))

We have had the pleasure of eating at milky bay restaurant 3 times during our stay at koh phangnan. Staff is friendly and dishes from the card are very good. The grill is excellent with a great choice of fresh fish, meat, sausages and vegetables. We can only recommend this place if looking for a good, on the beach, dining experience.

Of course, Korean cooking is about much more than just meat, but for us it was a very welcome alternative to the primarily Thai food we have been eating in the last weeks. We took the BBQ set, which came with all sorts of delicious ingredients/elements: radish, beetroot, kimchi salad, bean sprout salad, potato, rice etc., and of course a lot of beef!The restaurant itself is simplistic in design, but as mentioned in many other reviews of ours, this is completely fine. The service was wonderful though, with different waiters showing us how to do the bbq by ourselves. As such, we learned quickly and could prepare the rest by ourselves, enjoying this lovely experience with the pacing that we wanted.Strongly recommended - especially if you are tired of Thai cuisine!Thank you so much for your visits and this wonderful review on us! Korean BBQ is the best way to enjoy all essential parts of Korean cusines and we are so glad to hear you enjoyed it!
