This funky little place is simple, no frills fun. A century-old warehouse with worn interior and furnishings, and rolling dock doors doesn't need to be anything more. It reminds me of the 80's Patrick Swayze movie "Roadhouse," only missing great music like the movie's Jeff Healy Band. It's always in full-swing business when passing by. Smokers are relegated to screened porch, so good air inside. Food is pretty good. Prices are okay. Bar staff are hip and friendly. Their wide selection of craft ginger ales is unmatched. It's otherwise pretty average -- in a good way -- which is something that Shepherdstown needs.

We had the Crab Club with onion rings and Portabella Capris Panini with hand cut french fries. Great presentation and great taste! We were the first customers in at 11:00AM and were given a choice of seating wherever......so we picked the table in the window of the bar section. Service was very attentive and we had an overall nice experience. We would go back again.

Didnât see a waitress for 10 min. Ordered the turkey club with red cabbage slaw, but there was no slaw! Very little turkey, actually all bread. Inquiring about it to the waitress she said â thatâs an old menuâ. Probably wonât order food again. Disappointed! This was a Sunday during prime tourist traffic, so much for repeat customers!Hi there! So sincerely sorry to hear about your less-than-perfect visit here this past weekend. We're always working as hard as possible to fix our little blunders. Really hoping this won't keep you away from Domestic! Thanks for sharing your feedback <3

We love the Moon and go there about once a month. It's especially nice when the weather permits outdoor seating under the trees with the Town Run rushing musically through. The food is reliably good, the service cheerful if not always proficient, the atmosphere always charming.

Went to lunch at the Bavarian yesterday. Had not been there for years. Beautifully renovated. Friendly staff. Salad very good. French Onion soup the "best I ever had" said my companion. Weiner schnitzel was good. Sauerbrauen was spectacular! s good as I remember. Dessert was disappointing. I ordered the German Chocolate cake based on the sample on the dessert tray. What arrived was something totally different. It was some sort of tart not at all what I expected. All in all it was a good meal. Recommendations: Bring bread sooner. We asked 3 times. Notice if there is a fork etc. missing. Had to ask for one. No offer of more iced tea and no automatic water refill without asking. Food is great but need more training.

Because the Restaurant had no record of the reservation I thought I had made 6 weeks earlier, the hostess accommodated us in the bar with high tables and chairs and limited light fare. We enjoyed the food we ordered an since we ha theater tickets afterwards it was probably best to have had the llimited menu. We will probably return for a full meal another time because we enjoyed our sample.

We walked from our B&B on the advice of our innkeeper. Very casual, lots of locals, you know, a bar! Limited but nice selection of draft beers, some local. Menu is surprisingly varied. Everything was very good and the portions were generous. Service is spotty, but they appeared short handed. Sign on the door said âcash onlyâ as their credit card system was down. The sign did not look new. There is an ATM on site.
