Stopped in to soak up the atmosphere & music at this unique establishment. The girls were really impressed with the ladies room decor and the overall ambiance. Coffee and brandy (specially for Helen) meant we were building to a special night and the Gasoline Pony kept the mood.

Lazybones Lounge Restaurant & Bar features live music seven nights a week, with fantastic food and a wide range of beverages served by friendly helpful staff. There is a small cover charge that goes towards live music. Located in the heart of Marrickville
Very Melbourne-like vibe. It's very red, has lots of retro objet d'art with lots of moody lighting, big comfy leather lounges and gigantic coffee tables between the seating. You would swear it was night-time and you had returned to the hedonism of your youth, if only for an hour or so.When we arrived at around 4pm there was a live jazz band. There were families enjoying a glass of wine and nibbles, while their tweens soaked up the atmosphere and a toddling baby boogied along to the music. A blessed relief from the average family-friendly venue. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon catch-up, before the slog of the working week starts again. We went for a family members birthday (you can book the floor), but I could see there was a large comfortable area that can be curtained off for smaller functions. The kids and adults alike loved it.They have two floors. Have a look at their website as they have a mix of acts, over a month. Anything from African, jazz, blues, acoustic etc. They do have singersAccess is around the corner from Marrickville road. There is no disabled access.Enjoy!

Heineken House has been unveiled as the first flagship Heineken venue in Australia featuring a signature Heineken eight metre-high bottle wall centrepiece towering over the bar. In addition to floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the city skyline, t
I ordered a drink, which was way over priced, from a French Waiter who was not only arrogant but questioned if I had ordered. After going through the till he realised he hadnât poured the drink. When I received the drink there was no apology for the 10 minutes wait but he instead I received half a glass of wine.

Loved Maryâs!Very cool, very edgy, very punk. Not enough adjectives to describe this one-of-a-kind bar.Down a little alley and thereâs a doorway, no signage, just a whole lot of graffiti and a whole lot of attitude.Fabulous staff. Very friendly industry professionals who run this place with flair and aplomb.I was visiting as a solo female and was made to feel comfortable and very welcome. Punk AF decor with ânaughtyâ, giggle worthy graffiti all over the walls. Like, all over the walls. Maybe even all over the ceiling too...Like I said, industry professionals, running a tight and innovative bar. Knowledge and service are way up there.Ok. The food....Unbelievable...I took a staff recommendation and had the Maryâs burger with bacon, with a side of the most incredible mash and gravy.Iâm a chef by trade, and a gastronomist by degree, and it takes a lot these days to impress me. This meal blew me out the water. It was just that memorable. Every element perfectly cooked and put together.Scoffed the lot.Trust me. Order the mash and gravy.Loved Maryâs. Whoever dreamt up this place is someone Iâd like to spend time with
