Reviews on Bar food in Patara, Antalya Province, Turkey. A day trip to Patara, a few miles farther west from Kalkan, offers the chance to combine horseback riding, history and sand surfing. Once an important Lycian port town, legend has it that Patara is the birthplace of Apollo and with certainty it’s the birthplace of St. Nicholas. Horseback riding for riders of all ages and capabilities is available for rides along the 22 kilometers of white beaches. And so is sand surfing.

We enjoyed a relaxing meal here with amazing views across the beach and harbour entrance. The food was freshly prepared and tasty, and the menu prices werenât as expensive as weâd expected given the location, but it wasnât 5-star dining either. At the time we were dining, we were the only group eating dinner - the cafe appeared to be more popular as a spot to enjoy sundowners. Weâd probably return for sundowners and the view.

We went on a Saturday and filled our boots with football on T.V. There are several screens so there are options of seeing several of the days games. The bar service is quick and the prices are reasonable. There are also pub games (darts/pool) to entertain those who don't want to see the T.V. sport. It's located a short distances UP the hill from the taxi rank at the roundabout.

Marleys is new cafe and cocktail bar in Kalkan this year. We are abit of a hidden treasure as its hard to see what Marleys has to offer from the road, but take the short trip up our stairs and you will find a spacious cafe and cocktail bar. We are a famil
We havenât eaten here, but did pop in for drinks. We asked for two double Raki. They were huge - could hardly get any water in! And at 30TL each, itâs the best value we have seen in Kalkan. They didnât even charge for the bottle of water as most restaurants do. They also serve peanuts with a (very) salty crust.

We visited this restaurant, just up the kalamar road because we went on the Aqua 1 boat and belongs to the same people. We were not disappointed. The food was well cooked, well presented and our whole group of ten (including vegetarians) were very happy. They poor a large gin and tonic here in a lovely cut glass...yummy

The Papatya Café is located at the LaVanta site above Kalkan and serves good home cooked fresh food, in a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. The café is open from 08:30 providing breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, as well as coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine a
We stayed at LaVanta and spent most of our time around the club house pool and at the Papatya Cafe. The drinks are lovely, we especially loved a chilled glass of local rose, watching the sea view at sunset. The food is freshly prepared, clean-tasting and delicious, especially the fresh fruit salad with honey, home-made fish cakes and the halloumi salad. The children loved the milkshakes, and chats with the bar tender. Debbie and Erhan made us feel so welcome, we really enjoyed their company, lovely people and a great sense of humour. Overall a very special place. Thank you! he bar's wooden floor is adorned with the distinctive and colourful rugs of Anatolia. Along with kilms, there are divans on which to relax and sini (round copper plates) from which to eat and drink. Family portraits, jazz posters and musical instruments h
We visited as part of a group of a dozen or so and had arranged to watch a downloaded movie there one afternoon in September. Great dreamy space with a few cats and dogs flaked out in the heat under tables and chairs immediately outside. It's a place where time seems to stand still as you sip a chilled beer and peer back into the sunlit glare outside from the shady comfort of a chair or beanbag within. Very recommended as a way to pass a few hours on a hot afternoon.
