NNT can certainly take a bow when it comes to dishing up tasty salads! The ingredients are fresh and the serves are very generous for the price!

My husband and I are in Nowra for a seminar and staying in the George Bass Motor Inn. We asked Peter for the closest eating spots and he recommended the Bridge Tavern for a plain pub meall. That is what we wanted. It was a three minute walk from the Motel. The Bridge Tavern is undergoing renovations with a new owner. We both ordered Battered Flathead Fillets, chips and salad. Our meals arrived piping hot, two large flathead fillets of fish each, thick cut chips and crunchy fresh salad. Very generous serves. And our meals were delicious. We both cleaned up our plates.Service at the Bistro and at the bar was very helpful, friendly and polite. We would return to this pub. Many thanks for a wonderful meal.

When you go to a bistro in a hotel you generally know what is to come - a chips or veg option and lots of the usual fare. What I didnât expect was the size of the meals - such a large serve of whatever you chose. I had potato and veg and it was cooked perfectly (not the typical soggy mess you would normally find at a pub bistro). For me the revelation was a scotch fillet steak cooked medium rare (as requested...trust me it doesnât always happen!!) and so tender you barely needed to chew. Oh so delicious and well presented. A surprise and unexpected. Would be so glad if this gem was close to my house instead of 100âs of kmâs away!!Hi aussie_possieThank you for your detailed review. The restaurant is located off the lobby of the Quest apartments.Menu well priced and our meal was very good.Friendly efficient service. After a long drive from Sydney we were tired and the Cockatoo Cafe was perfect.Would highly recommend.

The front of house staff were excellent: Friendly, attentive and polite. But we waited for over an hour for our food for five people when there were only three other small parties in the place. The vibe is cool and quirky, but when we eventually got our food, mine was cold. â¹ï¸ they did drop the beers off the bill(thank you) but it stopped us from hanging around for dessert.

My better half and I are huge fans of the steak here...especially Tuesdayâs when they have the steak special for a super reasonable price. Itâs always perfectly cooked, good service, great serving of delicious greens and the chips are definitely the best in town.

Set in the old post office the restaurant section is separate from the main bar area.Excellent meal - was fresh, tasty and vegetables perfectly cooked. Good range of dishes on the menu and a small, but reasonable wine list.Service was prompt and friendly.Will return on my next visit to Nowra.
