Just The Cook is a laid back fast casual restaurant that elevates food. We serve everything from seafood to gourmet burgers! Catch us on Fridays when we have our Frank Sinatra Fettuccine Friday! Where we make homemade fettuccine, offer two sauces and drin
The shrimp Tortuga sandwich was awesome a little spicy for my taste but I'm a big wimp when it comes to spice. Daughter and husband loved the hamburgers husband said the class cloe slaw was the best he's had. And two beers for free was great too.

Uncle Ernie's is one of our favorite places to stay when visiting Panama City. The website was unclear on the status after the hurricane and we've found several of our favorite spots are still closed for repairs. Sadly, Uncle Ernie's is also still under reconstruction. We visited there on Feb 2nd and workers were busy working on the place. The outdoor deck area is completely gone and it looks like it had some interior damage as well but everything was blocked with safety cones and tape so we couldn't see much. While they are busy working it will be awhile before it is ready for business. I thought we got a picture of the current status but only found a couple of the harbor walk which was also heavily damaged. While the workers were pretty active I would guess it won't be open until March or later. We'll come back next year and I'm sure they will have even better outdoor views from their brand new deck area!

Driving through Historic District on Easter. This was about the only place open. Stopped in for beer. Sat at some outside seating. Had Yuengling beer with zuccini fries. Served promptly and was very good. Prices were also very good. Total for 2 beers and a side of the zuccini fries was $10.50. Service was OK. Would go again.

Great family friendly restaurant in Historic downtown Panama City, FL. Excellent service, food, drinks & events. Something for everyone!! I'm totally addicted to the chicken Mediterranean Wrap and their shrimp boil. Presently, the only place in downtown Panama City that serves oysters and they have daily lunch and dinner specials.... Megan waited on us this evening and the service was spot on. One of my favorite places to frequent as I like to support locally owned businesses and appreciate being treated like family â¤ï¸

So we decided to take our friend out for a birthday meal at applebee's because that is where she wanted to eat with her family for her 43rd birthday. There were plenty of empty tables at 6:30pm on a sunday evening with over 10 empty tables. We got sat very quickly but that was the extent of the fast service. It took over 15 minutes for our appetizer to arrive which was the nachos and another hour and a half before we got our main course of Crispy Brew Chicken, Triple Bacon Burger, Sirloin steak and shrimp steak. The Triple bacon burger looked more like road kill with cheese and two slices of bacon, the Crispy Brew Chicken had maybe 3 to 4 flakes of fried onion rings instead of a pile which was pictured on the menu. Please look at the attached pictures to rate yourself.Definitely NOT coming back here.

Looking for a quick lunch somewhere nearby, we chose Beef 'O'Brady's.We found a table near the window. Our server Carolina introduced herself and brought our menus. She was very patient while we viewed the many items. We waited almost 30 minutes for our plates, however, the food was worth the wait. The holdup seemed to be in the kitchen. We assume they are still short-staffed since Hurricane Michael. The poblano chicken lettuce wraps (actually a deconstructed salad) consisted of Romaine lettuce leaves stuffed with grilled seasoned poblano chicken and wonton strips drizzled with poblano dressing. It was light, crunchy and delicious. The Angus cheeseburger wrap with Angus beef, American cheese, mustard, pickle, mayo, and tomatoes pressed in a flour tortilla was finished on the grill which created a crisp finish. The beef was well done, but tasty and the cheese moistened the filling. Fries were served on the side.

We had to wait awhile, but understandable considering the atmosphere of the restaurant. A wonderful outdoor restaurant that sits right on the water. Fun watching small boats cruise up to the restaurant and place their orders. I got the fried oyster basket and it was very filling! We would definitely come here again........when we're in the area! Not in the near future!
