Absolutely a 'Must Try' kind of place.Busy, but friendly staff eager to seat and then serve you.Our party of 6 ordered up different menu items and were completely satisfied with the varied offerings.Local craft brews were available as well as the standard bottled beverages. A return trip to The Roadhouse Mexican Grill & Bar is now necessary to sample other menu offerings.

So our group of 9 had dinner here at the end of July for my birthday. We figured we'd check out this tavern/bar restaurant especially since they have outdoor eating space. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated outside but they were busy and had to accommodate our rather large group, so no complaints there. The outside eating area is pretty neat - regular and bar height tables, chairs and a comfy couch area while you wait all in an enclosed area but with no entertainment on a Saturday evening (they do have it on Friday evenings.) They seemed to be short on wait staff but I'm not sure. We ordered and our waitress did a good job. I had a fish sandwich which was okay. Other meals I remember being eaten at our table included the perch dinner - really liked it, the French Dip - liked it, a chicken meal - liked it, and what they call their "Wet Burrito" - huge portion and liked it. So the food was pretty good. They have a wide variety of beers and wines. Most of the food was deep fat fried. The reasons I am rating this place only a 3 is because they could be so much more for the area they are in for the tourists they serve in the summer: entertainment on Sat evenings, more staff to accommodate the crowd, some more NOT fried food, maybe even some "healthy choices" on the menu. I really dislike their chairs outside - they are metal and very cool and not comfortable on the legs! We went to our cars and got beach towels out to sit on! Just seems they could do more to make it more of a place to want to go out to eat at. The inside is older and more bar-like and seemed fine atmosphere-wise. I think the locals really like the place. Parking is free on the street. This place is near Betsie Bay, Lake Michigan, and just south of Frankfort. It's such a neat place to go but this place just didn't make me want to come back anytime soon.

The Cabbage Shed is a water front pub that has the character and flavor of an "up north" establishment. There are fresh, local food items including our fish tacos, and 1/2 lb. Shed Burger. Live music is a staple on Friday and Saturday nights. Our waterfro
A very busy place but probably because there are so few options in Elberta. Busy night, staff was friendly and accommodating, great selection of beer but food was marginal. Veggie burger (which got great reviews) was okay but didn't live up to the reviews (good that veggie burger wasn't some frozen packaged concoction but a long way from being what other reviewers described). Fries were soggy, salad was drenched in dressing, coleslaw is more of a vinegar slaw (don't look for creamy). It may have been that our food sat for a while as we did wait a very long time between ordering and getting the food. Nice place to sit on the deck. It may have been an off night as it was recommended to us by locals. But there would be little reason to try it again. Good vibe but we were underwhelmed by the food.

Casual family restaurant famous for in-house smoked meats including Dinghy's famous ribs, smoked chicken wings, pulled pork BBQ sandwich, French dip, BBQ chicken, bacon-wrapped smoked sausage. Fresh soups daily. Fabulous sandwiches including customer favo
Had very good pulled pork and a huge cobb salad. Grilled ham & cheese...just average.Booths are cramped, and tables are very close to each other. Difficult to navigate around the space. Place was packed on a week night in September, so others must find this a good place to dine.Sorry for the cramped conditions. We just try to accommodate as many as we can without making it impossible for our servers to provide the great service they are known for. thanks....

We went to Stormcloud Brewing Company for a wedding party, and it was a good place to have it. The beer and wine were easily served at the counter, and they kept coming. They lived up pizzas and snacks to accompany the drinks. Thereâs a nice outdoor area as well as inside seating.

Rustic decorated family restaurant with full menu, outdoor seating in the summer. 8 large screen TV's for sporting events, 6 Michigan Keno screens, 3 digital draft beer screens. 23 beers on tap in the summer, 18 minimum in the winter. Authentic Broasted c
Traveling and ate here at the recommendation of neighbors at the campground. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and was very personable. Steak was over cooked, but still tender and flavorful. Sautéed veggies as a side were excellent. Would eat here again.

Stopped in the Big Apple for dinner. Glass of red wine (they had no white), crispy chicken sandwich with fries, that's it. The atmosphere is depressing, the service average, the food average. Surprising to me that the place hangs on - but perhaps that's because it is "the only game in town" in this small rural village.
