Stopped in for a happy hour drink. There were a couple people at the bar, and a couple people at a table - definitely NOT busy. The older bartender lady obviously knew the customers and was way more interested in conversation that doing her job. My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a whiskey and soda - and she confirmed with me "soda water?" A conversation later she brings the beer. About 10 minutes later she asks if I want anything other than water..... at this point I did not feel like reminding her that I had in fact already ordered. After the beer had been empty for quite some time, we interrupted her conversation to ask how much the beer was. Sadly, we didn't have exact change. Awhile later when we realized she had no intention of taking our payment and providing change we had to interrupt her conversation again to ask for change. Worst service experience ever.

A bistro is usually a place with local comfort food at modest prices. I think they even say that on their menu. I ordered the Fish Rockets for my lunch entree even though it is listed as an appetizer. My husband ordered the spicy BLT with fries. The Rockets are 2 small Spring roll like things served with a nice coleslaw and wasabi sauce. Even though it was a small portion it was perfect for lunch for me. Especially since my husbandâs sandwich and fries were a large portion and he shared. He really wanted to have the grasshopper pie so we did. For $9.50 I didnât think it was worth it. Itâs ice cream pie. So for lunch for 2 with just iced tea to drink our bill was $45 before tip. My husband was fine with that, but being the frugal one in the family I thought it was expensive. They did continue to refill our iced tea and our server was awesome so I would actually give them 4.5 stars if I could.

This cozy local spot hits it every time. Each night has a different type of music so check their calendar. Jazz, country, bluegrass, Latin, Hawaiian, Punk, they even put on comedy shows once ina while. Itâs the only place to see great live music open late. The Tree house salad with lilikoi dressing, local beef burgers, ciopino, and brownie desert are a few of our favorites . Yummy! If you are looking for a fun place to have a drink and/or eat you have to try this one. Sitting on the beach, having a drink and appetizer was just fun! For us it was almost a vision out of the past. Somewhere you might see Tom Selleck doing one of his Hawaii shows. Another way to put it might be a setting that was just, simple. The drinks were great and the nacho appetizer we got was the best I've ever had. Check it out.Thank you for visiting and recommending Lava Lava Beach Club! We really appreciate your fabulous review and thrilled you enjoyed your time spent with us. We hope to see you again soon. Mahalo!

This place is really good. They had a large selection of burgers. They had all your typical burger variations and a few with some cool local flair. Certainly a place I will eat at again. Wasnt cheap but it was worth the price for sure.

I've reviewed this several times before but I just can't help letting everyone know that you have to eat here at least once...and probably more. Located in the heart of Kapaa across from the ABC store on the upper level. Plenty of parking in the back of the building. Breakfast options are incredible and plenty of it. You will not be disappointed!

SOV SERVES EVERYDAY GOOD FOOD. The menu is from scratch, using our recipes, including all desserts, dressings and sauces. We Hand-Cut our Fries from Russet Potatoes. Fish is delivered fresh daily and we NEVER use frozen fish. Aloha to our local fishermen.
Pros:great view and nice, helpful servers. Good quality food. Cons: pricey for what you get, limited menu, overcooked fish( like a lot of Kauai restaurants), view is great but little character in the restaurant. I rated this restaurant higher than our group because of the view and servers. Our table otherwise gave it an average of 3 stars.
