A buffet restaurant with a difference! An exceptional range of a la carte quality food available on the buffet for one set price.
There was a massive variety of food on offer. The lamb dishes all had some bone in them, which gave depth to the flavours. The chicken tikka looked like plastic, but was enjoyed. The naan bread was ok.Overall, the food was good. The free pop dispenser and water/ice machines were a great idea. The selection of desserts included my favourite, gulap jamun. Hi David, thanks for taking the time to leave a review! Great to hear you enjoyed your visit. The gulap jamun is one of my personal favourites too!

Family run Indian Restaurant. Cooking traditional dishes. All our dishes are cooked using the finest hand selected ingredients.
There's a lovely, "old world" feel when you enter, but the food is quite superb. All three os us had no complaints on the deep, rich flavours of our curries. Nor about the starters - delicious onion bahjis.Service was friendly, yet efficient. Just magic!

We had two different lamb dishes, the cauliflower and some saffron rice with Merlot. All very tasty. Linen table cloths and nice ambience but very reasonable for the food.

I visited here for the first time as I had heard lots of good things and was passing it on my route home. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the staff were all welcoming and friendly throughout our evening. The menu was smaller than most however this was not a problem as there was still plenty to choose from and a note on the menu to say that you could ask for other dishes. The food was pleasant on the eyes as it was so well presented and more importantly it all tasted absolutely delicious! My partner and I left feeling satisfied and full up, I would recommend this restaurant and definitely return again.

This building of local interest dates back to 1812, and in the past has been mainly used as a Public House. The building has been restored to an exceptionally high standard. After extensive travels and fifteen years experience in the restaurant trade, Saj
We popped in to pick up a takeaway, after visiting the Sage. We would normally have eaten in the restaurant but being tired, we just wanted to get straight home. Saji always recognises us and asks about us, which is the best welcome you could wish for. The menu has a much more extensive choice and the food is first class, everytime. They certainly deserve their number one spot in Gateshead. I would put them in the top ten restaurants in the North East.
