No frills. Wiggly booth seats and standard tables- who cares - cause the food is awesome. It arrived at our table hot with several bowls of accompaniments- garlicky asparagus spears, eggplant, kimchi, lotus root, and fish noodles - tasty stuff! Bulgogi - thin steak with peppers and rice, and Bibimbap - warm rice noodles with meat and vegetables in a bowl were excellent. Waitress was efficient & friendly. Food was inexpensive and yummy. Can't wait to go back!

We love the food here.. this trip we had chicken teriyaki and boiled rice and wonton soup which I think is the best around and vegetable egg rolls. Really enjoyed and itâs always consistent! The only thing that wouldâve made it better would have been one of their mai taiâs lol

Hit or Miss... There have been times when I have left here saying "WOW that was so delicious, I can't wait to come back" and times when I've left saying "That sucked, I am never coming back". So... With that being said... It entirely depends who is cooking. The won-ton soup is usually very good, as are the egg rolls, crab rangoons and the chow mein. Fried rice can be totally amazing or gross, depends who cooked it. General tsao was the last thing I got there and it was VERY salty and I couldn't eat it... and I LOVE salt....

My order was not ready half an hour later and the pad thai was less than mediocre. Greasy, token spoonful of chopped peanuts, vegetables were walked through the noodles....While I should have picked a strictly vegetable dish to get the veggies I wanted, I'll probably not rely on this restaurant for inexpensive food next time around. Sorry Thai Taste. I hate to be too negative.

I'm not impressed with Wasabi for several reasons. It's not the cleanest restaurant. I am a stickler for cleanliness. Sticky menus, sticky tables, dirty carpets...if the dining area isn't taken care of I worry about the kitchen. Their food is average, just OK, and I feel that they are overrated because there isn't much of an option for sushi in the area. Finally we've witnessed staff arguing more than once. The last time we were there a make employee who seemed to be in charge smacked a female employee upside the head in front of customers. We had our kids with us and promptly readied to leave as another gentleman confronted the man and was calling authorities. We will never patronize this restaurant again.

I informed the server that the first time I ever visited this restaurant, my parents laid me on the seat next to them---I was a newborn baby. That was 74 years ago!Happy to report that the food was totally familiar, and every bit as good as we remembered from the previous owners. Fall River Chow Mein is unique---famous---and worth the visit.

We used to go to the Thai restaurant that was at this same location. This was our first visit to the 9th Monarch. They have redecorated the whole place and although we recognized it everything was very fresh and new looking. Our appetizer was delicious. We both ordered different main courses. Although they were well presented both were a little bland. We will return but will order something more savory, perhaps a curry.
