Open over 60 Years. Incredible interior architecture. Good food. Great value
This is an interesting old restaurant and properly managed, it could be a good restaurant, but it isnât. It took over an hour to get our food, and the food wasnât very good. Our server had a full, busy restaurant and no help at all. Not even a busboy. The poor woman was actually running. Whoever manages this place should never have allowed that to happen. If you go, bring a book.
Ordered the crab puffs because i read on the reviews and I couldn't agree more, they are amazing!!!! Soups, beef... honestly just everything we ordered. Clean place, clean bathrooms, good service, kind staff. This is a red bluff must !!!!

Believe it or not, I hadn't started eating Thai food until about three years ago -- and I've gotten hooked on it. At home I actually use a Tom Yung soup base (made in Thailand) and boil veggies, chicken etc and have it at least twice a week. I am on a trip in my role as a nationally performing comic ventriloquist (doing schools on this trip) and left Williams to specifically stop at THIS restaurant for my stop over in Red Bluff. The food here is EXCELLENT. Firstly, the waitress was great. I asked her which appetizer would be the least heavy and she recommended the spring rolls. I've had mixed reaction to spring rolls at Thai restaurants. I'm not a cilantro fan and most load it with cilantro. Thai House had some in there but it wasn't a ton and I could pick it out. They were DELICIOUS and the two sauces they offered with them were heave. I had the sweet and sour (with chicken) and when she asked what spice level I said "a step above medium but not hot." And, waddaya know, I got JUST THAT. Among the best sweet and sour I've had. And, of course, the Thai iced tea was wonderful. What was there NOT TO LIKE???? Great service, a great waitress, and great food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Has been around for a while but not reviewed
We were pleasantly surprised to have a most scrumptious dinner last night! The food was prepared quickly, the prices are wonderful and the person taking care of our needs was quite delightful to talk with. We were surprised at the meal portions as we have another dinner just waiting in the refrigerator!!Will we return? Most definitely. Again and again and again!

The server was friendly, service fast and the place was charming to see. We enjoyed our lunch, although we were disappointed. The food was average, and we expected it to be better. We ordered tea and it was served not hot enough, just warm. Nothing exciting for us here....

Made a trip through Red Bluff the other day and we were Jonesinâ for burgers. A couple of people recommended Sugar Shack, so we Googled them and found them on Main St., about ½ mile from I5. The inside has a very comfortable, country/kitschy/diner feel to it and the owner greeted us like family. We both wanted burgers and settled on bacon burgers with caramelized onions, one with Swiss cheese, the other with bleu. One of us had onion rings, the other French fries. The burgers were magnificent. Not only was the patty completely covered by thick-cut bacon, so was the top bun! Completely coveredâ¦you couldnât see what was underneath! Who does that? Sugar Shack does that! The fries and onion rings were both delicious and perfectly cooked; nice and crispy, not soggy. The caramelized onions were the perfect addition and there was plenty of cheese, too. We had a little ranch dressing for the fries and onion rings and it was house-made. There was a little extra tang in it, maybe garlic, that made you come back for more.We both had iced tea, and it was the only weak part of the meal; it just wasnât strong enough. Burgers were $9.99, a very fair price for a burger of this quality. We only ate half and Iâm looking forward to leftover burger. (They had a cheeseburger and fries special for only $5.99, no substitutions.) We'll be back!

Chose this place for dinner because of some really good reviews on TripAdvisor. After being seated, we recognized a severe shortcoming, in the restaurant's operations, the minimal staffing of service personnel; one waitress for the entire place! Nonetheless, we stuck it out, and were glad that we did. The food was perfectly prepared, fresh ingredients were obvious, seasoning was tasteful. We would definitely eat here again.
