The chef is passionate about creating a dish that will satisfy. They are eager to customize the dish to your taste and offering choices. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. I canât recommend this restaurant more. There would have been a photo, but we ate the dish too quickly.

We had a wonderful meal at this very nice Asian restaurant in downtown Utica, NY. The menu was quite varied, with selections of Cambodian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Korean cuisine available. My daughter and I ordered Seaweed Salad and Tom Yum(?) soup appetizers and Chicken Fried Rice and Khmer Green Curry entrees. All were delicious. The soup was flavorful and fiery, just at about at my limit of spice. The Khmer Green Curry was full of chicken and a variety crisp vegetables in plenty of sauce, with just the right amount of bite. The Chicken Fried Rice had plenty of vegetables and chicken and was very flavorful. All portions were generous and enough of each were brought home to make for a great meal the next day. So if you have craving for Asian cuisine and not quite sure what kind you want, give Lotus Garden a try. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Health in a bowl. You can construct your own soup -- choosing the broth, protein, veggies, etc -- and enjoy a healthy lunch. The bubble tea options are huge... lots of different flavors from which to choose. For the carnivores, my steak medallions with rice vermicelli was delicious. About $8 - $9 for entrees. Good food, good price.

Was invited to go with friends from out of town to go for a young teens birthday. 7 of us had our own chef. What happened with people in the other side was totally inappropriate. Some young 20+ year olds were celebrating a birthday and a graduation. Staff was over the top celebrating with the Saki even to the point they pulled out a huge box of saki and were squirting that in their mouths. We were told "we will get to your birthday"..which they did eventually. However after celebrating for 25 or 30 minutes with the other people our birthday teen was recognized and along with the same girl they just celebrated with for 20 minutes and did the birthday song again. At one point one of the girls in the other party looked at us because we were a little upset and said something like "we spend a lot of money here they're taking care of us". It was an overpriced dog and pony show. Not going back. Food was just Ok. Big disappointment.

Favorite Sushi place in the area. The rising sun roll and dragon roll are very tasty, and simpler rolls like the eel-avocado or tuna roll are also really good. Really good prices too, with good student discounts. And you get a free volcano roll everytime! Overall, great sushi, great prices, and very nice and friendly staff!

Sumo Japanese Steakhouse is a Japanese restaurant and steakhouse offering sushi, hibachi, and other popular Japanese dishes to the New Hartford, NY area.
Started with some sushi appetizers and they were great. Hibachi table was the usual entertaining session. Food was good, as with many restaurants of this type, the food is cooked and placed on your plate a bit at a time, rice and noodles first. So pace yourself for the protien which comes later. I had the scallops and lobster, both very nice! If you are a sake person take advantage of the squirt bottle, but beware you will get wet as they donât accept âstopâ as a viable option. We did have a great time!!

We were there on a Friday night, and there were few patrons. We were seated next to a party with young children, and the nearby TV was blasting Nickelodeon. We asked if we could move further away from the loud TV, but the waitress retorted that there was a TV at the other end, too. (I happened by that TV later on the way to the bathroom, and it was tuned to the news at a much lower volume.) The dishes and utensils were basic (reminiscent of a college cafeteria), but the food was good and affordable. Shortly after being served, the party with the children left, so we figured when the waitress came by to check on us, we could ask if they could turn the TV off (or at least turn down the volume). No such luck, as the waitress never came back to the table again except to deliver the check when we were done.
