Thai with friends for food and fun! Thaikhun Southampton can be located in the dining quarter of West Quay. With a large outdoor terrace area to sit back and relax in the summer and lots of cosy nooks inside for the cooler months, there is plenty of space
Great food, nice and fresh, lovely atmosphere, lots of vegetarian options, would definitely recommend, one of the best restaurants, if not the best at West Quay waterfront. Shout out to our waitress Lucy who was lovely and very friendly. Top tip: sign up for a tastecard and get 2 for 1 on all food (you have to book and let them know on arrival/over the phone that you are using a tastecard) would highly recommend this restaurant!Khop Khun Kha (thank you) SunbathingCat for taking the time to share your lovely comments. Here at Thaikhun we strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere and to provide Ha Dao (5* service) to all of our guests, I look forward to sharing your comments with Lucy and the team. We hope to welcome you back soon for more of Khun Kim's traditional Thai dishes. Kind Regards, Thaikhun Southampton

Staff friendly and welcoming. I thought the poppadums were slightly stale and this worried me but I admit that the lamb shank masala was delicious as was the venison, the spinach side dish was very tasty also. But given that the restaurant doesnât have an alcohol licence so we only had water, a bill of £84 for two courses was excessive.Thank you so much for your valuable review, Iâm little confused about the the Bills, you didnât mention how many guests were , if it was 4 persons bill then £21 per person is reasonable i believe......And our Alcohol license is under processing and it take officially 28 days to approve, currently we serving Alcohol Thursday to Sunday until the process done....Sorry for any inconvenience Thanks

We had a nice meal here on Sunday evening and tried the Massaman Curry and a Prawn dish, both very well done. We tried a Tom Yam to start which was not too hot by Tom Yam standards. The rice portions are big and overall a good meal. Not sure why they played country music all evening though.

The food here is excellent - serving sizes were perfect and vast menu options very satisfying - sadly a couple of our group were under the weather so unable to enjoy the meal so we will definitely return!!! Recommended

The Imperial China Restaurant offers the most exquisite Chinese food and an extensive menu is offered both in the restaurant and as a take away. New Forest locals have come to accept the friendly, discreet service as the 'norm', but no-one visiting Imperi
Poor service Having first walked in and been told to wait politely we were made to wait forty mins before seeing a waiter we walked out and phoned our order through instead again being made to wait as I write this review whilst waiting over ten mins to even be greeted at the door and our order for collection very very poor service

Have wanted to visit this place for a while, and especially after friends enjoyed a recent meal here, so took my husband and mother-in-law to celebrate her birthday. This was her first Thai meal and we all thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered, the chicken massaman curry and sticky rice was delicious and the coconut Thai ice cream desert lovely and refreshing. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful when deciding what to order. My only (small) critism was the dipping sauce for the Thai crackers was a little bland/watery, but other than that we all had a great evening and great food, and will definitely return.
