The proprietor of The Fox hotelrecommended this establishment and it was an absolute pleasure.The King prawn butterfly was the most tenderly cooked example i have ever experienced.The main was a special biryani with king prawn chicken lamb and vegetables topped off with a light fluffy omelette.The tandoori roti was perfection soft and seasoned to perfection.Syletti cooking at its very best.Unpretentious good food.Friendly professional service.I Highly recommend

Just back from a great night out at the Indian Cottage with a large family group. We were split between curry lovers and those of us who like very little heat in our food, but we all managed to get what we wanted. The staff were lovely and eager to make sure we got what we wanted and insisted we try while they were there, and would have made something else if it wasn't to our taste. The potions were generous, and the service very quick, despite it being very busy. We'll probably return!

We first tried The Bombay Curry Club when it first opened. We were extremely impressed. This has now become our regular choice when we want an Indian. Extremely tasty !

Great place very clean well set out, staff are tremendous, food beautiful, well priced, light airy and well maintained, been a while since the 3 of us, Pat, his Son and myself have had a meal without the Grandkids, so that was nice. Always looked after here, Shukria Fellas.

We had a booking at the Blackwell Ox and were looking forward to a meal and evening out . We wanted to try it to book for a party of 9 people next week . Firstly we were not shown our table , just told itâs table 30 by the window. The tables were not numbered so we had to guess which one it was . We were left for 20 minutes with a menu , no one came to ask if we wanted a drink . My partner was sitting in front of a door marked private and staff had to squeeze behind him to reach a store . Another waitress passed a high chair over my head to stack it in another corner . The staff all looked frazzled , stressed and were extremely busy , they did not pay us any attention whatsoever. There was a smell of cooking in the restaurant and my menu had sticky stains on the reverse . After 20 minutes of being paid absolutely no attention we got up and left without ordering , no one seemed to notice . Needless to say we will not return and certainly will not book for our party of 9 next week as I would be embarrassed to take my family to a restaurant with such shoddy service .

Made a wide diversion just to eat here today,pleased we did.The selection from the lunchtime menu was difficult as there is more choice than usually found in Chinese menus. Despite the take-away side of the business being extra busy we were served promptly and our dishes were generous and tasty.We will return.

This is our favourite Thai restaurant and worth the travel from Wensleydale Always fresh and vibrant. The papaya salad is outstanding and with lots of chilli it has wonderful flavours and is a real tongue tingler Great fish cakes and the new chilli chicken spring rolls are stunning The massaman curry is outstanding. However there is an extensive menu with something for everyone from curries to stir fry - mild to seriously spicy Spacious seating areas and comfy chairsExcellent service. Good choice of wines and beets etc Parking in the adjacent square Highly recommend this lovely Thai restaurant
