This has lots of different things. Indian chinese cantonese etc. Very very nice and worth every penny. You can go up as many times as you like. The food was hot and fresh. The staff are lovely. We are definitely going back. I really can't recommend this place enough.

Having read some of the reviews we decided on dinner out in Weymouth, and Ruan Thai looked good. However, I'm not sure what kind of atmosphere they're trying to create but on arrival the place was full of flies and they had Wessex FM (commercial radio) playing really loudly. Who wants to listen to local double-glazing sales ads when they 're out for dinner. Honestly! When another customer asked if they could turn the radio off, the waiter suggested they move table. Really?! Very disappointing and more like something out of Apocalypse Now. We left before even ordering a drink and went just down the road to Mona's Thai (we were lucky to be able to get in without a booking as they were really busy but they accommodated the two of us) where it was light, clean and really fresh (and no bluebottles!). Try harder Ruan Thai!

Succulent Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant, with over 30 years of experience, set in the heart of Weymouths bustling town centre. 100 metres to Weymouth Harbour. Eat in and Takeaway
From the outside the restaurant does not look very appealing but once inside you will find that it is tastefully decorated.I chose a chicken and mushroom balti while my wife opted for a vegetable masala. They both came out using hot, so hot that the first mouthful I had it burned the roof of my mouth causing several blisters so be careful of this and don't dive straight in like me.The curries were delicious, my wife stating that it was probable the best she had ever had and she can be hard to please. To be honest, my balti was up there with the best I had had.Yeh next time maybe give the food some time to cool down thanks for taking your time to write the review and leave us some feedback!

Family run business popular with locals. Known locally as the best Chinese restaurant in Weymouth. Eat-in and takeaway including local deliveries.
We visited here while on holiday after reading reviews on here. We ordered beef chow mein, chicken fried rice, curry, sweet and sour chicken balls. Chips, bbq spare ribs. The ribs were the best weve ever tasted. All the food was beautifully cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful and service was quick Would definatly recommend

Shalims Balti House is a national and regional award winning Indian restaurant. Come in and enjoy the best in Indian dining Weymouth has to offer. The mouth watering food and warm comfortable surroundings all add to the experience that you'll find hard to
What a horrible place to come to with their standard of customer service!Me my husband and our baby daughter came to what we thought was a lovely looking restaurant... To be introduced with a man on his mobile phone at the door and asked if we could take "that out" meaning our 6 month old daughter in her pram.To our shock we simply asked if they have highchairs... His reply was no. So we simply replied we shall take our money and business elsewhere and said how rood he was. Will never recommend this place and their staff here to anyone I know. Seems this particular chap needs another lesson on standards let alone manners! Oh and customer service.Shame. I have emailed the owners with my disgust at his attitude to our daughter.Outrageous indeed....!!!Someone insults your child but you carry on and ask wether they did highchairs. If someone insults my child like that then I wouldâve asked to see the manager or owner straight away and demand an immediate apology. For someone to say that I called a baby âthatâ is somewhat an insult in itself. During our 2 minute (timed it on our CCTV) interaction at what point was I rude. As far as I remember it was all very cordial and polite and I even opened the door to help your husband push the buggy out (can be seen on screen too) The problem here is that we donât do highchairs. We just canât accommodate them on the restaurant floor. We understand that we may lose a bit of business because of this and we have accepted that fact. Sometimes we do get things wrong and Iâm more than happy to put my hands up, this time round I am keeping my hands firmly on my mobile phone.Thank you for the advice on more customer service lessons which we will sure to do as we are always constantly trying to improve ourselves. (Canât stand still in business) As for any emails sent which we havenât received yet, it is null and void. Once you put your Grievance in public my response will be in public. Courtesy of a one on one explanation is forfeited. Lastly I would like to thank you for your review as other people reading it will now know that we donât do high chairs and will save them trouble of asking. Shalim
