Reviews on Asian food in Belmont, North Carolina, United States. Belmont is a small suburban city in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States, located about 15 miles (24 km) west of uptown Charlotte and 9 miles (14 km) east of Gastonia. The population was 10,076 at the 2010 census. Once known as Garibaldi Station, the name change for Belmont is disputed. Some say it was named for a prominent New York banker - August Belmont. Others contend the Pope ordered the abbot of the monastery to change the name since he would not tolerate an abbey in a place that bore the Garibaldi name. The abbot could see Crowder's mountain from the property and named the town Belmont - "beautiful mountain". Belmont is home to Belmont Abbey College.

You might expect to get good sushi at an airport in Charlotte, NC but you can. My wife and I dined there on our way to Ireland while we had a layover. We had Gycza pork, Outer Banks roll; and Firecracker roll. I also had Bishido Way of the Warrior sake. The Firecracker roll was my favorite but they need to use fresh jalapeños instead of canned.

We often order the reasonably priced special and egg rolls. We've never been disappointed as it is always fresh and flavorable and reasonably priced. The restaurant is immaculate and the staff is friendly and efficient. This is a good Asian restaurant that is budget friendly.

Was staying nearby on a business trip and was in the mood for sushi. Found this place on Tripadvisor (thanks to all who wrote reviews) and chose it based on the reviews it received. I drove up and kind of took a second look because this restaurant is in what appears to be a metal building but it looked decent so I went in. I sat at the bar and was promtply served by Bryson. Great service. Sushi was AWESOME. They have a full menu of meals as well which I will work on next time I am in town. If you are in the mood for sushi, asian, thai etc., and are in the area, don't miss this place.

This is a family owned restaurant. I was the only one in the restaurant when first came in at lunch time. Was debating if I make the right choice. However, after having their sweet tea, it was flavorful so that my confident risen. Then, the 3 chefs started to take their wok and cooked my food right in front of my eyes. WOW, fresh cook fried rice? I was impressed. After my meal, I felt guilty because it was so cheap. $5 for lunch, includes tax. They even take credit cards!I would recommend this restaurant. A friend and I visited Akahana recently for a late lunch. I really enjoyed the experience. The service was friendly and fast. The lunch menu had some great prices and nice variety. Meanwhile the full menu was available, with medium range prices. I got the lunch sesame chicken with rice, which had a nice flavor and good quality chicken. My friend got the shrimp lo mein, and said it was great.

This place is awful! They advertise with coupons and then do not honor them saying they aren't valid. The dates are printed in 4 PT Font. You have to have a magnifying glass to read it. Our coupon expired one day before and they wouldn't allow us to use it. Really??! Come on... no value given to their customers and poor management! Food takes too long as well!!!
