Situated at the crossroads of several commercial routes, Constanta lies on the western coast of the Black Sea, 185 miles from the Bosphorus Strait. An ancient metropolis and Romania's largest sea port, Constanta traces its history some 2,500 years. Fine mansions and hotels were built in the 19th century when King Carol I decided to revive Constanta as a port and seaside resort. The third largest city in Romania, Constanta is now an important cultural and economic centre, worth exploring for its archaeological treasures and the atmosphere of the old town centre. Its historical monuments, ancient ruins, grand Casino, museums and shops, and proximity to beach resorts make it the focal point of Black Sea coast tourism.

Gabriel was our guide and drove us on the day seeing both Bran and Peles castles. He was on time collecting us from our hotel and drove us safely to the castles. On the way we stopped off at a lovely restaurant that he recommended for lunch. He was a great guide, there with us all the time to answer any questions we had and take photos of our group. Even though we were over our time schedule with Gabriel, he even took us to the town where the Black Church was, so that we could see it. We had a great day, thank you Gabriel.

Ambrozie`s Cell, situated on Istrita Hill, Buzau county, is formed by two rooms in which a few bays and porches were carved, either with domestic or religious destination. Ambrozie was a monk from Breaza commune who, as a layman, was named Tanase Rizea. He spent a few years at Athos Mountain, Greece, and when he came back home he decided to isolate himself in a cell that he himself carved in the Stone of the Hawk. He lived 50 years in the cell that today has his name.Going on the trail to the peak of Istrita Hill, we reach a glade with a small forest and white cross on which it is written “The monastery of Ambrozie the Hermit”. Here we have the best sight of the southern wall of the Soimilor Hill and, to the right, the rupestral dwelling called “Ambrozie Skete” which was declared a world heritage site. Here, the monk Ambrozie lived in solitude until 1980 when he passed away.

We had a great time with our tour guide, Paul!! My boyfriend and I were vaccinated and decided to spend 4 days in Bucharest. We took this tour on a Sunday and due to the Covid season all the locations we visited were pretty clear. I was very appreciative that we didn't have to fight with crowds or long lines to enter the castles. This tour takes you to all the main castles/places in 12 hours. I chose this tour over the other ones offered on Tripadvisor since it gave us a good amount of time at each spot. I liked that we didn't feel rushed & got to really soak everything in. Yes, it seems long but I swear it goes by quick. Expect to walk a lot & definitely pack some easy to eat snacks. Also, don't forget like I did --- PACK COFFEE! The tour starts early and if you're not a morning person, coffee is a must. No more hesitating and just book it. Great price for a quality tour.

5. Day Trip to Danube Delta and Dobrogea region

Timpuri Noi, Splaiul Unirii, București, Romania OnAdventure

Enisala is the last city of Genoese, whose walls bear in them a centuries old history. It was built by the Genovese merchants on the shores of Lake Razim near Babadag, for military purposes - to defend the center of Dobrogea. Cropped on top of a hilltop with limestone blocks, the fortress is surrounded by a shady landscape shaded by trees. However, you will be enchanted by the fields of limestone, limestone and grotto that you will find it hard to forget. Here you can meet a small forest of pines and only good places to be immortalized. And the channels that connect the two lakes - Babadag and Razim - are very interesting. Dolosman Head is situated in the southern part of Tulcea County, right on the shores of Lake Razelm, the enchanting Jurilovca commune, represents one of the most picturesque destinations in the Danube Delta area, being a true delight especially in the autumn season, when nature is embellished in color shades of red, red and purple.
