Some fast food places in small towns are just better, this is one of them. The guy who took my order was really nice, actually cared, and helped guide me through all the meal combos.... They did a better job that most KFC's with the food too. Just liked it and would go back for sure.

Have eaten here several times and really enjoyed everything. The soups are delicious. Had house smoked whitefish cakes appetizer, very good. Burgers are delicious. One in our party had the lobster roll and loved it. Had a special of the day, shrimp tacos that were to die for. Hope they put it on the menu permanently. Had a Mediterranean salad that was great especially with the blood orange vinegrette. Their fries, called potatoe flats, are really good. One in our party had the fish and chips, made with local whitefish, and really liked it. Service is very friendly and prompt. It is a great casual place for lunch or dinner. Will definitely be a regular there!Thank you for your review! We're thrilled you've enjoyed your visits to FireBrick and have been able to try a variety of items from the menu. We look forward to having you back again!

My husband and I stopped after reading the reviews. We ordered the Lumberman's special because it was late morning and we were well past wanting breakfast. It came with choice of meats, the best hash browns ever, sausage gravy, eggs and toast. It was fabulous! The service was quick and friendly. The coffee was pretty weak, but that's personal preference. My husband visited the men's room when we first arrived. I said I was going to the restroom right before we left. My husband said, "I can't let you do that." Now I'm an outdoor girl used to pretty rough conditions and figured it couldn't be that bad. He said "okay, let's say an outhouse rates a 10. The men's bathroom is a 1. I'll take you somewhere else. " I could have done without knowing that tidbit of information! Otherwise, the place was great.

Stopped for pizza and salad. Waitress was a bit frazzled, but OK since I wasn't in a hurry. Great thin crust pizza. Salad was iceberg with a slice of tomato. Many other options on menu and looked good for breakfast, but I didn't have time the next day.

Most restaurants in or near town didn't open until 4:30 or 5. Too late for us. The sandwich that I had was good and hubby enjoyed his fish sandwich. Prices decent but you only got the sandwich without a chip. Oh, I forgot that there was a pickle spear. It served the purpose of lunch.

We stopped here because they advertised ice cream and we were definitely not disappointed. The choices were varied and the servings were large. The ice cream was tasty and fresh. I have no idea about the subs but the place was very busy and lots of people stopped in for take-out or to eat in.

We ate here twice on our recent vacation. The first time we "ate in" and enjoyed the fresh pasties as they came right out of the oven. They have several choices but we prefer the original ones with potatoes, onions and meat. The pasties are moist inside with wonderful crusts. They taste great with ketchup or "as is". The second time we picked up some to take to family an hour away. They stayed nice and warm in the bag and were wonderful to eat without reheating. Its no wonder they continually rate as the best in the U.P.
