Blythe /ˈblaɪθ/ is a city in Riverside County, California, United States, in the Palo Verde Valley of the Lower Colorado River Valley region, an agricultural area and part of the Colorado Desert along the Colorado River. Blythe was named after Thomas H. Blythe, a San Francisco financier, who established primary water rights to the Colorado River in the region in 1877. The city was incorporated on July 21, 1916. The population was 20,817 at the 2010 census.

Stopped for lunch off I-10. Sorry we did. EVERYTHING was dirty and showed no attention to detail. The salsa bar was not even stocked. Food was cool enough to be a health hazard.

I have now eaten at Pattyâs twice the past five weeks while staying in Blythe for a weekend on the Colorado River. Pattyâs has been the first stop after we have checked into the motel. The first time that we were there we had the Patty Melt and the Chicken Strips, the second time was the Patty Melt and the 1/3 lb burger. What was so surprising about the burger and patty melt is that the patties are cooked on an open flamed bbq out the back door of the grille. This was just about the last thing that I expected but the bbq flavor comes through in the taste of the meal. Sure, the a/c is very minimal but there is a good selection of beer and so far the food has been excellent in two trips. It will not be the final time that a trip is made to Pattyâs for some flame grilled burgers. Also, each of the bartenders have been beyond friendly on each of the trips. Gotta love small town bars.Donât forget to leave a $1 bill behind as well!

Delicious! My wife found Quiznos. I was thrilled because Blythe â lovely though it is â doesn't have quite the same range of facilities that one might find in a big city. I was missing sub sandwiches terribly. Anyway, this Quiznos franchise is clean, tidy, well-stocked with snacks, and staffed by nice people.

My wife and I stopped here on our way from Scottsdale, AZ to Rancho Mirage, CA and had an OK meal. Service is slow and it was Sunday early afternoon so maybe that was why it was slow. I had the Supreme Skillet and she had the Pancakes with a side of bacon which was cooked just how she asked. Our server Esmeralda was very nice.

Great, fresh salad bar. The soft serve ice cream for dessert is excellent. Salad bar includes a taco bar, wings, meatballs & spaghetti. Very fresh & tasty. A great deal! Travelers looking to personally refuel in Blythe on that long I-10 road trip are likely inclined to stop at an off-ramp Denny's. A short few blocks away, along the town's one and only main strip, the Courtesy Coffee Shop provides a more authentic diner experience -- and better food. This is the place for hearty, home-style grub, especially at breakfast, with plenty of combination plates to satisfy all appetites. The French toast is fluffy, the hash browns crispy, and the homemade biscuits nice and flaky. Service comes quickly, and always with a smile.

Four of us dropped by for dinner and we all had something different. Great dinner salad to start with and the main courses were tasty. Sirloin from the flat top or liver and onions cooked perfect.
