Beautiful old Coaching Inn nestled in the foothills of the Black Mountains. Just outside Crickhowell. Modern British food with a Mediterranean influence. Ales, Amstel, Moretti and local cider with a big selection of wine. Dogs welcome in the bar.
Myself and 4 friends visited here for some food and drinks. The menu doesnât have a great range on offer, although the food that we ordered and the service were both very good. The staff had a great sense of humour (which you need with my group of friends) and the bill was very reasonable. I would revisit here if I was in the area again.Hi Tashathanks for the kind review, we are glad you all enjoyed your evening here. Humour is fairly dry and we enjoy a little banter with the guests, always trying to work our whether appropriate or not!!Delighted you would come again, you are welcome anytime.RegardsRichard

Four friends out for dinner to catch up. We were expected, greeted warmly and enjoyed pre dinner drinks in the comfortable bar with a nice fire going. Shared olives and garlic bread. Decided to eat near the chefs on the ground floor. Three Rib-Eye steaks and one chicken. Delicious. Cheesecake for pudding, very good.Good wine list reasonable prices. Friendly service from well trained young staff.

A great discovery today as good coffee is hard to find and this cafe had great coffee. I had the eggs Royale (Benedict) for breakfast and it was good - a little more garnish would have improved the presentation. Other meals being served looked good.

A large birthday meal with 29 guests. All the food was served mostly together and with no complaints. Curry and the sirloin steak were excellent and superb value for money. Top place highly recommended.
