Vietnamese restaurants like this can be found all over Melbourne not just in the more concentrated areas of Vietnamese settlement. I always eat the soup (PHO) for lunch and prefer the egg noodles to the traditional rice ones.I ordered sliced pork and wantons on both occasions. It arrived in the usual large bowl, steaming hot. The broth was good. I have had similar soups all over Melbourne and find them really good value. A $10 bill will get you this and a pot of Chinese tea thrown in.

Very good Vietnamese food. I cannot give the food at My Tho higher praise. Always good, always well presented and served with a smile. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurants in the area which looked like they are rarely cleaned My Tho is always sparkling. My favourite.

Really enjoyed the mix of Thai & Vietnamese food on offer. The staff are efficient and very business like but not overly friendly but this seems to be the norm in High st Preston. The meals were well presented and very tasty with a zing of spice to further enhance the dishes. Not sure about a return visit as it was a good experience but not a great one.

This place has a good vibe, but the food really let us down! The Spring Rolls were really delicious, but the two dishes which followed were dreadful. The prawns, cashews and vegetables was bland and had NO cashews to be seen! The sizzling beef with spring onions and vegetables was almost pink and the meat was really inedible! It was not properly cooked and the dish also was tasteless. The service was a bit mixed, but the ambience good. Would not go again as there are many other such restaurants in High Street, Preston!

Went for the first time with a friend whoâs a regular, shared a couple of dishes. Squid was the most delicious Iâve ever eaten -melt in your mouth with a coating that didnât overwhelm the taste of the meat. Noodles were really good too - light and fresh. Perfect meal, will be going back soon.
