In Sweden people love to pick mushrooms to use in the preparation of meals. If people see us lying on the forest floor they will probably ask us if we are doing fine. I will learn you how to photograph mushrooms and mosses from a totally other perspective than you've photographed them before. You will learn techniques that you can try out by yourself on mushrooms and other macro photography subjects. You will be amazed about the possibilities in macro photography and you will have learned a lot after this workshop.
Inclusions: Fika (Swedish coffee break), Personal guidance from a local nature photographer

At first, I would come to Sweden just for the GGO, but then I've loved everything Sylvia has proposed to me: The Capercaiile courtship, the Osprey safari (we've seen a lot of them) and the bear hide! All the guides were amazing, they make you feel at home I've loved the B&B and the Hotel, and Sylvia was so patient, with all the things that was changing from minute to minute, because of the Covid-19 I had a really good week, and i just can't wait to come back!

We did the Wild Forest Retreat in Skinnskatteberg tour. This was a truly fantastic 5 days in the forest. I booked this tour primarily to get away from the City during the Summer and experience wild nature. It was everything I needed. Very professionally organised by Marcus and Christiana who took care of us throughout and made it an amazing experience. I didn't know it was possible to eat such delicious food prepared on a campfire in the middle of the forest!! We were a small group (3-4) which made it possible to really get to know the other tour members and make new friends. During the 5 days we heard Wolves howling in our presence, saw Beavers and Moose, and number of wild birds. We also did yoga and meditation sessions, carved our own spoons and made pancakes with berries we picked ourselves. Really a range of new things I had not tried before. Would 100% recommend for anyone wanting to connect with Swedish wild nature in a safe and professionally organised way.

We went on the lake with kayaks from Lakeside Adventure and spend about 6 hours there. The material (we had 1 double and 2 single kayaks) were well-maintained and high-quality, we could choose from different models. The instruction was a little bit short, fortunately we all had been kayaking a few times before. Each kayak came with a decent map and we also could get a compass, just in case. The owner is easy-going and friendly, but as mentioned above, the instruction could have been a bit more thorough. What I like about renting stuff in Sweden is that people are generelly trusting, so you just bring the material back, lock it and drop the keys in a mailbox. Perfect rental for people with a bit of kayaking experience!
