Great hike it was cold when we went the second week of November. We did the entire hike and the journey trail, it was a good workout for the wife and I. We stayed on the trail probably about 70% of the time, you can see where others would go off trail and take short cuts which I did, wife did not do it so much. If you have seen Only The Brave I suggest you do this and do the Journey trail as well. The safe ranch is really close to the burnover area. crazy how close they came to being safe. Its great and we plan on going back and going off trail where the memorial trail ends, if you continue North West you will go to the miners road and were the burnt out old doser was, which I want to do next time we go back out.

Thank you to the state of Arizona for creating such a place. Amazing tribute to a brave group of men.

The path is a spiritual Arizona landmark carved out of the weaver mountains at the hands of volunteers. A place welcome to all. Also, a great place to take memorable photos....great views. I visit it often.

Wonderful memorial. This is a not an easy hike. Worth the trip to pay tribute to the fallen firefighters. The hike took us about 3.5 hours going at a pretty good pace. We are in our late 30’s, hike frequently and my husband is a firefighter. We did this hike in July it was around 87 degrees, we started the hike at 5:30am. It took us 1 hour to get to the overlook. Took us about 45 mile round trip to the fatality site and back up. Took us a little over an hour to get back down. We stopped at each of the 19 memorials on the way down. This hike is in full sun, but since we left early, the walk up was mostly shaded because the sun had not come all the way up. Wear good shoes and bring more water than you think you will need. Would not recommend children or animals. Parking is limited.
Road Relics and a an old fashion antique store spread out over 1 acre. We have a 1953 Packard cop car and a 1936 Terraplane outside and lots of fun cars and truck cut in half as car art. A fun place to look around and finds lots of antiques and items for repurposing.

Been here many times: always pleasant and peaceful. Every amenity and most comfortable. Kitchen is fabulous if you want to eat in, or opt for steak and eggs across the street at the diner or pizza(and a stiff drink) on the other side. Bed and bath are first rate. Haven't tried their wifi 'cause Verizon is just zooming, there. Love the decor: just how I would want to "style" my home. Ed ( the owner)is a peach!
