We visited the center for a short lecture on the Royal projects and were touched. We walked through the mangrove forest that we cannot imagine it was corrupted 30 years ago. The forest has be restored and shady. We heard birds singing while walking. We took the path to the sea side and sit to enjoy the scenery.

We've seen many places and Beaches in Asia, but this one is certainly one of the least developed and quietest we've seen so far. Sure, you got your resorts there, but mainly for locals coming on the weekends, not many foreigners there. During the week you'll find perfect peace and empty Beaches!

Wat Khaosukim ("wat means temple) is located high on a hill overlooking surrounding national parks and farmlands. If you are fit you can climb the many stairs from the access road to the temple, but we took the easy option and rode the cable car up the hill.
Wat Khaosukim is a highly revered Buddhist temple, and over many years devote Buddhists have made gifts that are on display. In fact, the gifts almost fill the temple to bursting point.
There is a king's ransom in antique Chinese porcelains, jade carvings, ivory carving, oriental tables and chairs inlaid with mother-of-pearl, ancient Buddha images, bronze sculptures, ornate oriental screens, marble pedestals, tiger skins and other assorted antiques.
So as an antique collector myself, the real interest in this visit was not the temple itself but the priceless treasures on display.

it is famous for its pinkish rock. this beach is similar to khao laem ya in rayong. It is better if you wear hiking sandal since the track is quite challenging. It's beautiful and less touristy.

Chanthaburi Province is not blessed with long golden sand Beaches like other parts of Thailand. But Laem Sadet beach (Hat means beach) in the south of the province, has its own charm and attractions. It is a magnet for Thai tourists, although not many overseas tourists come here. It has many resorts and hotels to choose from, from the luxurious upmarket, to small cabins.
Along the beach front are many vendors selling barbecued food, including bbq prawns and squid, and things like sweet corn and sweet potato and Thais like to buy their food and sit on the grassed areas of the beach between the many shade trees lining it.
If you get bored with the beach, there is an aquarium that is worth a visit, and also the Sea Farming Demonstration Unit, which displays the methods used to farm prawns and various varieties of fish.
