Sommarland is basically two theme parks, one with rides and attractions and the other (the one we were there for) was the water park. Overall, it was brilliant especially for the kids. They loved the flumes, various pools etc and we spent many happy hours here. We even experienced a bit of rain, but given that we were all wet anyway, it didn't dampen the enjoyment. Even though it was busy but didn't really feel busy, i.e. there were not great long queues for the water slides etc like there can be at some water parks. There were plenty of lifeguards in attendance and a great selection of water areas for very small children through to teenagers. As this was Europe, there was no privacy changing, just separate areas for men and women but then a free for all inside. These were fine in the morning, but by the afternoon they were very wet and we found it easier to get changed elsewhere. My only gripe about Sommarland is there was no facility for lockers big enough to keep all your belongings, This didn't really seem to be a problem for most, as they looked like they stayed for the day and seem confident to just leave there belongings on their towel, I would have like the security of being able to lock things away rather than carrying them around with us.
Would we return here - yes without a doubt. It cost about £90 for the three of us, but it was worth it. Would definitely take a picnic though next time, and there was even facilities provided to BBQ food that you brought with you - this seem very popular with those that new about this facility.

We stopped in Skara and really enjoyed this small swedish town.
The Cathedral is impressive. Its size reflects the importance the bishopry used to have I'm western Sweden.
The building is extremely well preserved and present different styles, from very early Roman style to Gothic.
Pay attention to the (lack of) verticality of some of the walls to get an idea of the weight!
Highly recommended.

Very nice museum with an excellent and informative section on midieval Skara. Several ancient shields on display as well. Nicely laid out, free of charge, parking just outside. There is an open air museum just next door with a nice park, lots of very old buildings also well worth a visit.

Litet, men innehållsrikt museum.

The trip from Skara to Lundsbrunn is a little more than 30 minutes, then you wait for thirty minutes and make the same trip back. It was a very geniuine experience to smell the smoke from the locomotive and slowly being pulled up the railroad tracks. It is a great trip for both children and adults. The is coffee and icecream for sale at Lundsbrunn while waiting to return.
