Brandon Powell has created one of the best off road parks in the nation, over 940 acres of clearly marked trails ranging from easy to extreme and everything in between! He also has a awesome campground, climate controlled shower house, restaurant he opens for special occasions. it is also the home of Top Of The Ozarks Jeep Jamboree and many other special events held all through the year!
Just wanted to add I'm not a employee or affiliated in any way with the park. I just have a Jeep and I love to go off road and this park if a safe and legal way to do so!

The information center had a very interesting exhibition, and good examples from the pioneer life of the Ingalls family. It was great to see the Rocky Ridge Farm, where the guide told how the small house had been extended to the home of Laura and her family.
The Rock House was very different, it was a beautiful example of european arcitecture in USA.

Run for many years by a now elderly and delightful couple, Comeonin Antiques is fill with cabinet after cabinet and shelf after shelf of glassware, China, pots and pans, bolts and old ice skates, a genuine walk-in telephone booth (like you'd see in an old Superman movie!) and thousands upon thousands of other items. Bargaining is welcome. And you can get a cold soda there while you're hunting around for that buried treasure you didn't know you needed. And if you're hungry, and you have a hankerin' for some good friend foods or a burger - stop in about ½ mile east on Highway 60 to Uncle Rooster. The fried mushrooms are to die for! A little further east on Highway 60 is Fordland and home to one of the best French restaurants in Missouri! It's called La Galette Berrichonne, be sure to call ahead to make sure it's open (it has odd hours/days) at 143 E. Main Street, Forland, MO.

My husband and I visited the Pioneer Village this past weekend. We had a great time! There are different musical groups that play, a wide variety of seeds for sale, tons of plants to view, a restaurant, a bakery (the cinnamon rolls were awesome!), and much more. There is no admission fee and parking is free! There were only two vendor/craft tents set up, but we had a great time walking the ground. It was not crowded and was a different experience from typical bustling touristy places.

This was a nice, quiet cemetery where you can pay your respects to Laura Ingalls Wilder, her husband Almanzo Wilder, and their daughter Rose.
It was a special stop for our family, which has enjoyed her books and recollections of prairie life.
It is a very old cemetery...some of the stones were unreadable but there are some beautiful other stones which are lovely to see.

I felt a little foolish coming into this very small library to see the Laura Ingalls exhibit they have. I'm glad I did, but I'm not sure it was essential. This is a working library and the small display case dedicated to Laura did not have anything I did not see elsewhere.
